I love the throwback simplistically and the fact that the color way alludes to the original two Telstars the hints of gold are a nice touch and usually I don't like gold. The only problem I see is around the air hole too hectic.

Telstar was the name of a satellite (or several satellites really) launched in the 1960s. There was a song by a band called the Ventures called “Telstar”. The Adidas ball had the now traditional mix of white hexagons and black pentagons. It was first used at the European Championships of 1968. And it looked like the Telstar satellite.

I, personally hated the design. It doesn’t look special at all, just grey and black and white... it’s just horrible in my opinion. My favorite balls were the brazuca and jabulani. They were just amazing.

Thank you for the comparisons. More specifically, the Telstar is named after the NASA satellites that first relayed television footage. The satellites actually look like giant footballs. Also the pixelated/digitized graphics are an homage.

There isn't really a way to repair a ball. If it's punctured or leaking significantly, there's nothing you can do.
