Imo, the reason he felt he could get away with it is because of who was participating with him. I don’t think he’s the most influential person in all of this at all, he’s being exposed because 1) He’s been openly weird and is an example of how we ignore a lot of the obvious signs 2) He has connections with way too many people, and in more than just the music industry. @@Kidapollo92 yes, you could say that this isn't the career for you IF you know how to build another career. and IF the other career that you're building is one that Diddy never finds out about and tries to block you from too. regardless, the issue is the power imbalance but mainly the non-consensual things that he has done to these women. they may have been willing to consent (and i use that word loosely, considering the power imbalance that's basically coercion - which is not consent) to sleeping with him for opportunities, but he most likely would've forced them in some way (drugged them, SA'd, and graped them) later on down the line to do things that they really didn't want to do. that's exactly what happened with Cassie. and that's what most of his SA cases are about. the LACK of consent, the drvgging, and the grape. so there's no need to "question their motives" like you stated that you do. maybe their motive was to sleep their way to the top. that's not illegal and also consensual. they definitely didn't consent to being FORCED into sleeping with male SWorkers, being drvgged, etc. so their original motive is irrelevant to what Diddy has done. If he just let people come to him and let THEM offer to sleep with him in exchange for opportunities, then it wouldn’t be a problem. There’s a power imbalance there, sure, but that’s consensual. So even if that was their motive, that has nothing to do with the topic of discussion (his crimes).
