They switched him to anchor in 2013 because of that. He had no impact in that position though. He was blown away like everyone else by Bolt.

the times are not the split times for the race for some reason the video lists their personal bests at the time although Im sure they got the Blake pb wrong, in a 4x100m relay if the first runner goes sub 10 they all go sub 10 from the running start so all runners sub 10 not rare

John was a great sprinter but he will be forever remembered for saying Carl Lewis came in "Butt-Naked Last" at the 1996 Olympic trials.

Will Gault mentioned at the 0.00 second mark at the start of the video. People forget that this guy was impressive as an NFL player for the World Champion Chicago Bears. Even more impressive to ALSO compete at World Level Track and Field.

Whats more fantastic is that the American's did first & when they did it, the World Championships were held every 4-yrs like the Olympics. Except from 91 to 93 when it started to be held every 2-yrs.

How come USA was not in the 2005 the 2009 2013 competition on this race in this video? It seemed like the races that Usain Bolt was in the USA was not in for some reason. I saw the one video where the USA fell on the 3rd hand off but that was on the 2015 I'm asking about the other priors

Dennis Mitchell was a 9.91 runner by the time the 1991 relay was run.

I think that time was actually taken off him because he actually jumped the gun and got away with it when he ran that 9.91

For the USA Men's 4x100m Olympic record since 2004 is quite shocking I noticed, they've not won the GOLD the last 5 Olympics mostly due to dropping the baton or not getting round clean. With the athletes the US have they could be cautious & still win now Jamaica don't have the guys they used to have. I mean Lyles, Coleman, Kingston etc should be wiping the board with these guys.

Bolt was 29 when he retired? Gatlin still running at 36. You guys can blow Bolt all you want. My last time i saw him run he quit. How do you not medal at 29. He was supposed to be the greatest ever.

@@shawnyoung8752 He quit because he pulled a hamstring, idk if you know but you can't run on a pulled hamstring. And Gatlin has cheated by using drugs (helps to stay running longer as they help with recovery and he also got banned so wasn't racing for 5 years, in a 1 year then a 4 year ban) and is now retired so your point doesn't make sense.
