There is no "splatter" or "not very fresh" or "disfigured" per se. If the person pre-death was disfigured - sure. Fresh? The corpse is specifically and specially preserved and put into a tank with chemical preservation pre-autopsy. No stinky dissolved corpse there, even if the body is months or sometimes years old. And it is always treated with respect. If you cannot do that as a student - you are done. Out. Never to become a legit practitioner.

The famine was a man-made one and partly due to the collectivization and unrealistic production-quotas the five-year plan brought forward. But it was also a result two droughts and Kulaks setting their own means of production on fire while keeping away grain to sell illegally, and not complying with orders because they obviously wanted the whole state-owned farm thing to fail. I recommend watching Hakim's video's for people unaware of some western lies about the horrible events that happened in China and the Soviet-Union. Because the information that this and many video provides about it is too black and white. Also please look up the telegram story between Sholokhov and Stalin. Even though the Union partly caused the famine doesn't mean that they wished for it to happen.

As someone who lives in the release country of "The Soviet Story" (and is a history major) you can trust me on the take that we consider this documentary pretty obsolete by contemporary history research standards. It can serve the purpose of expressing the general idea of Soviet atrocities, but other than that is just... really mid.

Indonesian here, I'm quite literally shocked that the dark ages of 1965 onward got in here. I have heard about "The act of Killing" controversy surrounding but in the end never got to hear more about it. But man 1965 onward was the most sensless violent years of this country that no one ever talked about even to this day long after Suharto already died. Everyone remembered September of 65' but never anything following it.

The War Game was never banned by the UK government, it was simply pulled from the schedules by the BBC. It was openly and legally cinematicly released instead and was also shown at cinema clubs and political rallies during the 60s and 70s.

We watched Soviet Story on history classes at school. After a few minutes I had to put on my headphones and do my homework, sitting as far from the screen as possible, while trying not to start crying or run out of classroom. It got me scared of war documentaries in general (we were 12 I think and I was quite a sensitive kid), so... Good job, I guess. I have never watched a war documentary since then.
