1:38 This is False. The lower tooth count of the rush bit does NOT help it grip better, nor is that its purpose. What it does is cause the beyblade to increase it's acceleration when the teeth bite. This gives it a harder slingshot effect as it rides the rail for big hits. The reason this happens is that the circumference of the bit in contact to the rail is smaller, driving the beyblade to move forward with greaters speed on the gears per rotation, whereas a larger diameter bit will contact the rail and ride the path more gradually.

This video isn’t about specific bits, but the general variants of each bit. In the video I explain the difference between each variant and provide explanations on what each hit is good for ie. gear bits have better grip and speed, low gears count has better grip but less speed, low and high bits change height.

I just ordered 2 beys with GF and GP bits. I'm new to beyblade so can you explain why gear bits are bad and why GP is the only viable one in competitive play?

Gear flat is ok to use, but can be unstable leading to higher chance of self K.O. GB and GN have low burst resistance, so when engaging with the extreme line at fast speeds, they’re more likely to burst. GP just happens to be the best mix of high attack and good stamina, hence why it’s used the most in competetive.
