I think that knowing deep down that Lucifer and Chloe will survive made the final showdown from a 10 to about a 9. When Dan died I was like it's not real he will live, but then he actually died. Netflix is one cheeky bastard.

The writers really pulled the rug from our feet with 515 and 516. The BALLS they had to kill Chloe while we were still grieving Dan, and then for Lucifer to say I love you and sacrifice himself. I actually cried so hard I gave myself a headache and screamed till my throat was raw.

Well ... you have to realize that Season 5 was originally supposed to be the *LAST* season. They. obviously had to do some serious footwork to work a sixth season in. Some of the season 6 titles sound interesting, too, like the one entitled "The Murder of Lucifer Morningstar", or something close to that. Of course, all the episode names are merely taken from the dialog, so that doesn't mean that he is *ACTUALLY MURDERED!* But I'm guessing that's why there was no cliffhanger final episode. Of course, there are some loose ends ...

I think it’s interesting how Chloe has to remember everything that happened when she died. I’m guessing that’s because time moves slower in heaven like it does in hell. This also connects with how Lucifer seems more sophisticated when he comes back. It was only a few minutes on earth but in heaven it was probably hundreds of years.

LOVED this season (made me an emotional wreck) but honestly I didn't love how they decided to make him say I love you to Chloe. Like I wish he said it earlier and in a quiter moment so that we could also see her reaction. Also i think that scene in heaven didn't need the ily to be super intense and emotional.

I kinda agree. I absolutely loved this season and it was probably one of my favorite ones but I feel like it would have been better to split the last episode in two. So much has happened- they tried to fit EVERYTHING into it and the ending seems very fast. He could have said it in a scene before going to war or after. Or she could've stayed dead for a longer time and we could explore what was like for everyone. The rescue could have been longer - I love it still but the ending felt kinda rushed.

@@justina2320 yeah you're right! It was a lot of emotional scenes all rushed in the end. They tend to to this with a lot of TV series but like you said I feel like it would have been better to at least put the I love you in a more private, quite moment so that both of them (and us🤣) could've "enjoyed" it more, after all we've been waiting for this scene for the last five years
