Two things. Faceless in Fates lorewise are used to attack Hoshido since they can pass through the barrier Mikoto created. Second in Engage its explained that Sombrons corrupted are mindless zombies and the ones that retain their personality are created by Veyle seen in Hyacinth and then Sombron powered by the rings created Lumera. In the DLC the spoiler antagonist has this ability too.

I mean it was literally stated in game why some corrupted are different. The soldiers are made by sombron, they require less power to “resurrect”. Corrupted like Morion require more effort, and later hyacint & alear are made by Veyle who has a unique talent in creating corrupted more like their human selves. And lastly, Lumerra was made by Sombron after acquiring the strength he needed from the 12 rings. So…

For a bovine/human hybrid to be categorized as minotaur, it should resemble to the minotaur of the original tale, a bipedal humanoid with a bull's head and some body parts, the ones in FE are like taking that concept and mixing it with the centaur, (like lyonels from Zelda that are lion/"human" hybrid centaurs) Also would be cool to a have playable centaur character in a FE.

You have a mistake regarding the corrupted. The rules of the corrupted aren’t different based on who gets corrupted, it’s WHO corrupts them. The game is extremely clear that Sombron CANNOT create sentient corrupted without the help of all 12 emblem rings, and only Veyle (And Rafal) is uniquely capable of being able to make sentient corrupted.

The strangest FE enemies to me are the ones that are the most elusive. For instance, FE3's one and only Berserker residing in Chapter 11. The class itself is simply a souped-up Hero in reality, but it still stands as one of the only classes in both books of FE3 that has no playable units. On a similar note, Lamia's mercenary squad in Chapter 4 of FE4 contains the game's only female archers. Since Brigid joins as a pre-promoted Sniper, these enemies have always stuck out to me. They show that Brigid's unpromoted class IS very much coded into the game, but is exclusive to these two enemies. Just to round things out, I'd like to touch on Radiant Dawn's Spirit enemies that appear during the last few chapters. They may not be as obscure as some of the other oddball enemies, but make up for it in how BIZARRE they are in execution. Their infinite movement range allows them to move to any square on the map and attack any unit at their discretion, providing a challenge unlike any other mechanic in the series. Maybe it's for the best that the idea wasn't tried again, because dealing with them in Sephiran's map was a complete nightmare.
@lpfan44912 ай бұрын
Not an enemy, but I am fairly sure the NPC cavalier in the intro of Eliwood's story is the only female cavalier in the game.(She would also be the only female cavalier in the GBA games as a whole if Amelia couldn't promote into one in FE8) It's just not visible without looking into the game's internal data because the class reuses the male map sprites.

Actually engage does explain the whole corrupted thing, the faceless corrupted are weak but easy to make (both Veyle and Sombrom can make these) while the stronger ones made closer to their living version take more power/skill to make, with Veyle having the natural talent to make these, while Sombron can't do it until AFFTER getting all 12 emblems

Self-proclaimed Fire Emblem Echoes expert here! Vestals have a much higher chance of spawning in the Sage's Hamlet area, once you've already completed it. They are described specifically as Priestess who have been sacrificed to Duma, unlike Witches who are just regular women. Another possibility is that Vestals are more recently-sacrificed Witches, and that the "witch-i-fication" process takes time. Aside from the Dracul, Balor, and Titan which are all rare enemies you can only encounter if you return to previous dungeons in the late-game, I'd say the most weird enemy in the game is the Fafnir. It's a reskinned Necrodragon variant and like the second cousin twice removed cousin of the White Dragon and Dagon. It only spawns in the Thabe's Labyrinth's Grima bossfight.

The reason some Corrupted are better made than others is that generic masked soldiers are the norm, but Sombron/Rafal wants to replicate the complete likeness for max emotional damage. 8:29 Because just like every other game, they're not gonna waste time making a bunch of custom faces for generic enemies, and they're not gonna turn a plot relevant and intentionally designed character into an unrecognizable npc during a cutscene. Can you imagine Diamant's dad getting corrupted and all of a sudden his cape, crown, and facial hair magically change into a young faceless generic swordmaster class with entirely different clothes while Diamant is still in the middle of calling him father? Why would anyone want that? 😅
@skynet09122 ай бұрын
The Risen from Engage is just that: Risen creatures, so while most of them are generic soldiers with identical uniforms awoken many years after they died, Hyacinth and Lumera were turned shortly after they died, so it makes sense for them to look mostly like they did when they died, as well as be able to maintain intelligence. Veyle also explains that it's her who dictates how much sentience they have, making the generic soldiers borderline suicidal with only basic intelligence as she can make a near edless supply of them, while Risen with more intact intelligence Like Lumera can use strategy and such. So the game makes it clear how it works, but i can't fault people for skipping most of the god aweful story in that game, so i can't really say it's surprising that people can get this wrong, as even the wiki and Serenes Forest doesn't really seem to care about it...

Gwyllgi and Mauthe dog aren't based on greek mythology. The Gwyllgi comes from a Wales myth of a three headed dog literlaly called a Gwyllgi which, in some case, is described as having three heads. And Medusa, in greek mythology, was also referred as "one of the gorgon sisters". So yeah, the gorgons are referencing the gorgons. Also, the worms are probably just worms. As they drop a different material from the other demonic beasts. The beasts drop Umbral steel, the same material relics are made of, while the worms drop Agarthium, which we can assume to be called that because becayse probably they are native of the place Agartha was before Sothis arrived and dug up the mineral themselves as they travel undeground. Sorry but this video feels bit undercooked compared to your other videos.

Generally Fire Emblem, while not the biggest contender for making a morally grey story, still makes a effort to make a point that war is hellish, and one of the essentials of such an approach generally requires human enemies. Monsters, on the other hand, give a guilt-free extermination against them, and morally blackens whichever side uses them. Daein may be filled with darwinian racists, but their commanders run the gamut of arrogant leaders, glory-lust warriors, weirdly principled soldiers and somewhat hesitant combatants, while the corrupted under Sombron is mostly limited to marauding about and being twisted versions of dead characters. I'm not fully against monsters in the game, but I'd rather they give a particularly different experience than fighting humans, which together with the former reason makes me somewhat dislike the Risen/Vallite/Corrupted approach. Valentian Mogals multiply, Gorgons petrify, Mauthe Dogs are myrmidons with cavalry movement, Baels are armored mountain walkers, every 3H monster is a multiple person effort and the list goes on. Although at the end I still prefer them to take a 2nd fiddle role to actually human organizations, like the terrors being mostly used as spamable troops from the different cantors, the 3H monsters being warbeasts and creations employed sparingly by the enemies, or the sacred stones monsters being more of a symptom of the world going wrong with each stone broken.
