I also had the best reading year of my life in 2020, I read 34 books which is more than I read in 2019 and 2018 combined. My favorites were The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, the Shades of Magic trilogy, and my re-read of Little Women.

Regan, you are such an inspiration! In the past few years, I have endeavored to read more having not been a reader in the past. In 2020, I finally did it, and I read a total of 13 books. While a small total, it was a big accomplishment for me, and I drew such inspiration from your videos and vlogs. Thank you for all of your content and I look forward to what you will produce in 2021! (Also, everyone in the comment section, you are inspiring as well! 50, 70 or 80 books a year! Thank you for sharing your achievements!)

After all your Robin Hobb praise this year, I finally bought The Assassin's Apprentice and I'm hoping to read it this month! My top 5 in no order: The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater (finally finished that series!) Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff, Magic Lessons by Alice Hoffman, In An Absent Dream by Seann Maguire, and House of Earth and Bloody by Sarah J Maas. I read a ton of others I also really loved too though! I had 29 books that I rated 4.5-5 stars.

Some of my favorite books of the year are: 1) Beach Read by Emily Henry 2) An American Princess by Annejet Van der Ziji translated by Michele Hutcherson (a great biography about a very unknown person in United States History named Allene Towe who had many husbands and one time marrying a prince. It is also interesting that a person from another country writing a biography of someone from America) 3) FrostHeart by Jamie Littler 4) Chasing Lucky by Jenn Bennett 5) History Smashers: Women's Right to Vote and Mayflower (Two sperate books) by Kate Messenger (Great Middle Grade non fiction that really tells the truth on topics in American History that people tend to twist around or just don't talk about. Highly recommended them for adults too) 6) A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson 7) The Sundown Motel by Simone St. James 8) Chasing Memories by Tia Sliverthone Bach (Re read for me but I think this is a very underrated series that is a self published young adult series about werewolves and destiny) 9) Black Magic by Daniel Barnes (Great graphic novel!) 10) Black Witch Magic by Mila Nicks (Great time to read at Halloween or Christmas since it is set in Christmas time) 11) Witch Boy Trilogy by Molly Osterbay (Great middle grade graphic novel series) 12) What Would Frida Do? by Arianna Davis 13) Harleen by Stjepan Sejc (Great comic book series if you like Harley Quinn as a character) 14) The Hand on the Wall by Marueen Johnson (Great way to end the trilogy) 15) Katherine of Aragon by Alison Weir (If you like historical fiction on Tudor era Alison Weir has a series out called The Six Queens and she writes the story about each wife of Henry VIII) 16) Home Before Dark by Riley Sager 17) Uprooted by Grace Olmstead (This book does not come out until later this year. I read an ARC and it is non fiction) 18) Keeper of the Lost Cities (And the 2nd book as well) 19) The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta 20) Odd Birds by Ian Harding 21) Kiki's Delivery Service by Eiko Kadono 22) Tilly and the Bookwanders (Pages and Co #1) Anna James (Great start to a middle grade series) 23) Princess of the Sliver Woods (The Princess of Westfalin #3) Jessica Day George (Great YA retelling series of the 12 Dancing Princesses) 24) Marilia The Bastard by Morgan Cole (I think you might like this one. It is high fantasy I believe)
