One way to make a potential Looney Tunes movie isn't the fact it can't work for a larger scale production ala a film, the problem is that it feels like their not hiring enough people who are passionate enough for the source material. Back in Action in my opinion is a very good Looney Tunes movie that semi-captures the charm of the original shorts. However I'd watched another KZbinr who'd prolly pitched a good idea for a Looney Tunes movie, and maybe it should take inspiration from the newer Muppet Movies. Have the Looney Tubes cast being no longer relevant or washed out (It can be set in the real world, similar to Back in Action) so desperate Daffy goes on a wild road trip to gather the entire group together to create a large scale sketch show.

Thoughts on the cancelled Jam movies The Original Space Jam 2: This just sounds awful, way too goofy/far fetched and looked like an obvious cash grab no wonder Michael Jordan didn’t want to do it. Race Jam: Not really into racing but would’ve been cool to see the Looney Tunes suit up in race gear and race cars with epic car crashes. Golf Jam: Again not really into golf but having Tiger Woods on the movie would make sense considering he is a very big name in the world of golf, and Spike Lee writing it could’ve given the movie possibly more of an edge with it’s humor. Spy Jam: It would’ve been freaking amazing to see Jackie Chan with the Looney Tunes doing awesome moves and fighting techniques on the bad guys. Skate Jam: This is my favorite idea out of the proposed Jam series, I like Tony Hawk and it would’ve been sick to see him Skate with the Looney Tunes with epic tricks and moves, it probably would’ve had an amazing soundtrack with a Pop Punk/Skate Punk soundtrack like the Tony Hawk video games. It’s really a shame that it never happened cause it could’ve been a goofy fun popcorn movie, but Tony Hawk did get to star in a movie… Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom Sabotage… yeah not a good trade off. Conclusion: It’s really a shame that Looney Tunes Back In Action bombed so hard that WB cancelled everything Looney Tunes and gave up on them even resorting to rebooting them slightly in Loonatics Unleashed, while not all the ideas were good there were some that were really good and I would’ve seen. But let’s see how Space Jam: A New Legacy performs and hopefully the Looney Tunes will return permanently.

Here's another Looney Tunes movie that was cancelled, it's called Varsity Bugs and here's what the film was about. Also, I want to credit KZbinr 3C Films for even getting in touch with Brian Lynch, who wrote The Secret Life of Pets, on Twitter asking him about the movie. Also why I'm crediting him is because that's where I got the information from, if you didn't know already, and also not to leave him out in any way. Anyway, here's what the movie was about. So it's about Warner Brothers getting a new head of the studio and makes a new rule that unless they have a high school diploma, they are allowed to work at Warner Brothers. If not, you will have to go back to high school and get the diploma if you want to continue working at Warner Brothers. And that's bad for the Looney Tunes because... Yeah. So they go back to high school and meet up with a guidance counselor with this backstory: So essentially, it's like Michael Jordan in Space Jam where we see a young Michael Jordan wanting to become one of the greatest NBA players of all time, now what's different here is that he has a bunch of trading cards of all the best guidance counselors in the world and his dream is to become the greatest guidance counselor of all time! Anyway, back with that Warner Brothers head, while the Looney Tunes were in school, he tried to replace them with more cool, hip, CGI looking cartoon characters, who eventually meet up with the Tunes and, in a turn of events, actually like them and want to help out. Now here's some other stuff I want to point out. One running gag throughout the movie, we see that Keanu Reeves didn't graduate either, so he has to go back if he wants to make a new Matrix movie. And as we keep seeing him, he gradually gets geekier and geekier! Also the Nerdlucks from Space Jam, they appear in this movie as well, as accountants! Now one more thing to add, nothing really concerning the movie's plot is the fact that when Brian was writing the movie, he had the most fun writing all of Daffy's lines. Just wanted to throw that out there. Now that's pretty much all I remember about this movie, except for what happened. And for that... We don't know. Even Brian said it himself, he doesn't even know why they declined to make his movie. I guess it's just another typical Hollywood thing. Now if you want to find out more about this movie, I don't mean to advertise another KZbin channel, but go to 3C Films, go to the comment section, and in his comment, you can see the link to where Brian Lynch shared to him the script of the movie and how it was like writing the movie. Edit: Or... Maybe not the Twitter link as it doesn't seem to be working for me.

The weird thing is that I want to see Space Jam A New Legacy to succeed but at the same time I don’t want it to either, I want it to succeed so WB could relaunch the franchise again and could be a possibility into bringing 2D animation back again but at the same time I don’t want it to because of the dumb decision WB have been doing to this movie.

I can't believe they never even considered a Soccer Jam movie. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world by far. Not only it would have made WAY more money than Space Jam, but it would have made an entire generation of Americans care about a sport that is actually played outside their borders. A Baseball Jam or a Hockey Jam would have no international appeal. Space Jam barely had it.

I think Berserk-o would have been a better villian than Al G Rhythm for the new Space Jam. He looks extraordinary, even with Mel Brooks was supposed to voice the villian. You forgot about another cancelled Space Jam successor, Varsity Bugs, a movie about the Looney Tunes having to retake high school in order to get their high school degree so they can work for WB again. It reportedly would have a guidance consuler helping out the Tunes, even Keanu Reeves would cameo in that film, since he has to retake high school so he can continue doing his Matrix films.
@HemmasStudios_3 жыл бұрын
Berserk-o would have been so interesting to see! I actually debated putting Varsity Bugs in the video, very briefly, but ultimately decided against it. I see Varsity Bugs as something closer to Back in Action than a Space Jam sequel. Studio interference and the fact that Joe Dante made Looney Tunes: Back In Action the anti-Space Jam. It’s the same when he made Small Soldiers for Dreamworks and Universal Studios. That movie was basically the anti-Toy Story. But yeah the story to LT:BIA was just bland and focused too much on saying how many times the movie was “a spy movie.” I seen it in theaters and it was annoying hearing Daffy Duck refer to the movie as “a spy movie” and also the bland storyline with Brendan Fraser’s character. It’s like the stunt man storyline just felt like an on-going annoying joke that never went anyway but straight down to the floor smack dab. And the original ideas were way more fun and entertaining than what we got with the theatrical cut. And then the add-on storyline of an early 2000s James Bond movie that was just as goofy as the 2002 Pearce Bronson 007 film.

I wish I had the ability to copy content that fast. To be honest, I never heard of 3C before his (excellent) video came across my feed a few days ago. I almost didn’t release this video because I knew people would tell me that I stole the idea, but my video was almost done so I figured why not put it out. This was a total coincidence. The idea of talking about these movies right before Space Jam 2 was such a good idea, multiple people were bound to have it. I’d never copy anybody because I know how long videos like these take to make. Period.
