One of the first decks I made in MD was a dino deck. I had snow, UCT and gren to otk but I also had a special monster called Tyranno Infinity which is Gren Maju but for every dino monster banished. I would summon Maju to scare people and bait out any effects and then summon Tyranno Infinity next turn and they had nothing to stop me 🤣

Hi, Teamsamurai, first off: thank you for so much good quality content you provide daily. You're doing an amazing job and we certainly appreciate it! I love watching your deck showcases and tutorials, but recently I thought of some kind of request from me to you and I think many people here would join me in requesting basically the same. What I'm talking about is if you could make a Master Duel specific tutorial on how to build your, idk what the proper term for this is. Deck base? Card pool? And go into detail concerning the tiers of how much money people may or may not consider to invest. I dont know if its understandable how I describe my request, but basically my situation right now is: I started playing master duel abour 5 month ago and I was playing barely going beyond farming the daily missions and the duel passes, spending the crystals on structure decks, master packs and some secret packs. Obviously I was getting legacy passes in the process and was turning them into cards as well. And I went through all the gates and collected all specific card rewards there. So right now I've got all structure decks at least one. Few structure decks 2-3 times. All structure decks from the solo gates and so on. I dont know how many cards in total I have got from the 10000+ that are in the game right now, but my problem is: I'm somewhat stuck playing the same deck over and over again, because I have no clue how I should go about crafting and dismantling cards I dont need, because I have no clue what I dont need, you know? Right now my card pool is just filled with a bunch of random cards from master packs that I've been opening most of the time and in the whole time I maybe dismantled like 20-30 SR and UR cards in total to craft some support for my deck I'm stuck playing with. In my case its (well, I'm kind of emarrased to tell, because its really bad) what I was able to fetch by combining blue-eyes with some dragonmaid support and galaxy-eyes in the extra deck. So my whole deck is basically a bunch of Level 8 3000 ATK dragons which are somewhat easy to special summon (with nebula dragon or off the blue-eyes engine) and turn them into galaxy-eyes XYZ. And the rest of the cards in the deck are basially support to juggle Dragons between deck, graveyard and hand, depending on where I can potentially special summon from at the specific turn. I also run a mini-engine of absorouter dragon and rokket synchron into Beelze (lvl 8 3000 atk synchro dragon. cant be destroyed by battle or card effects. gains permanent atk equal to effect damage or battle damage involving this card). So back to the topic. I would really love it if you could make an in-depth tutorial on how to deal with results of opening packs containing random cards and what one should definitely craft ASAP and what can wait. My only "restriction" of sorts: I would really hate cutting into potentially easy to obtain archetype, but on the other hand I would really hate being stuck playing the same deck over and over again. So maybe you could help me (and I'm certain many others as well) really get into crafting and start cleaning up the mess of ~2k utterly lonely cards which dont belong anywhere right now and maybe actually craft one or two decks on top of my one deck to go out of cards I have and crafting points I could earn by dismantling other cards. build a deck and look at the cards you need. the other cards not in the deck are cards you don't need. if you think you need it, make sure it's a generically good card like hand traps or power traps

I dont have 3 maxx c, I dont have Kaijus/Lava Golem, I dont have all hand traps, I dont have knightmares and accesscode talker. And those are just some staples I know of. Assuming I wont be able to get enough crafting points from dismantling everything SR/UR from all the wonky archetypes, which is the prefered order of aquisition? Or maybe there is even some "core" of staples which is required before everything else goes to 3x copies. You know what I mean? This is what I was asking about.

I've been somewhere in your position before friend. Did all/most of the solo series stuff just to avoid playing against npc's in ranked. That was where the bulk of the gems were and I knew it but simply avoided it because I didn't want to play against Flo or Swordsoul over & over again. Unfortunately there was very little work around that. Glad you made it to plat 4. I also understand playing the same deck over & over again is tiring and it seems like no one wants to discuss how you get gems beside dismantling - *everything* else. But *what* is everything else? And how will I know i need it? Simple answer is the game is pay to win. Or at least quasi-form of pay to win. I didn't want to spend any real money either trust me. When I see youtubers with like 4k stacks of gems with 10k crafting points that's really the easiest solution. So far I've spent around $100 or so which really isn't much compared to content creators who do this for a living... Can't really blame them. But think about it like this. There is nothing at stake on the line when you play this game. There isn't a prize pool unless you get invited to the tournaments, which 99% of us, aren't going to be invited. And you can sort of live through a content creator's gameplay by watching them spend stacks on stacks for a game that doesn't reward you enough for playing, (being a free-to-play as well I'm sure for the company justifies this means no doubt). Finally, I have around 700 gems atm, and I haven't played in weeks. Which isn't a lot. There were other games to play for sure. In MD currently play my favorite IRL decks which are: Dragunity, Infernity, Synchrons, Blue-Eyes, & Gladiator Beasts. I have next to none of crafting materials like you. But my advice is just save up gems 💎. No more structure decks. (I think I only bought 2 different ones in the beginning anyway.) I never thought the structure decks offered anything I was looking for anyway imo. And the truly best way is to just climb ranked. We all hate it, (for the most part), but solo doesn't really offer anything of value in return besides opening secret packs, and 200 gems at the end. I saved my gems for a couple months to be able to afford the 1k gems necessary to play Infernities. They're expensive af. Good luck to ya! 🍻 Edit: Oh yeah and events were 100% the way to go. I missed the last one which I think was another duelist cup or something as of writing this mess. Missed opportunity maybe on my part. Oh well. Too many games these days ask you to be subservient to F.O.M.O. anyways (fear of missing out), where they feel less like games...and more like explosive pachinko machines in the form of a new age floppy disk drives to satiate our adhd capitalism content drip hive minds.

@@eddysegafan6655 My main problem is: even if I decide to spend some money on the game, I feel like its way too much of a gamble to buy packs if you aim for something outside of archetype and secret packs. And crafting points from dismantling therefore become crazy expensive if you dont have a crafting plan. I'm trying not to complain, but master duel is somewhat unfair when it comes to prices and options you get. Its kind of insane that you could pay 40€ for gems and you get 400 crazy-ass random cards. It wouldnt be a big of a deal if the game had some actual trading mechanics, but there are none. Each player is stuck with what random chances give him from opening packs. But again, I'm not here to complain. I just ask for some sort of list or tutorial for the recommended order of aquisition which is actually kind of neccessary when it comes to staples, since there are so many. For example I've figured out for myself that getting called by the grave has higher priority than getting nibiru. Ash comes ahead of maxx c. But right now there are literally like 30-40 UR staples which can become a crucial part of many decks. And those I'm asking about. Hope somebody can help me with a list and strategy.

A good way to search Gren Maju is with the L.6 synchro fire first that you can just make with a L.3 danger and Ash

"This is a Gren deck" plays a Danger Dark World deck with Gren forced into it.... it's not a "X deck" if you can take that card out, and the deck still functions just fine

An easier more fun way to buff up Gren Maju is using Golden Castle of Stromberg and you can also use Gandora and Gigaray Gandora and Gizmeck as well since Gizmeck banishes 8 cards to be special summoned and oh I can’t forget Eater of Millions you can banish your entire extra deck along with your main deck and pot of avarice to banish more cards and search all while gren maju is in your hand then you play it after banishing so many cards and you’ll have a 20-25k beat stick monster on the field I run these cards in my banish deck which has 60 cards (to avoid competitive decks being anal to you just run negates like solemn judgement to avoid those problematic decks that wanna stop you from having fun) this deck is one of my most fun deck I ever built just normal summon a beat stick that one punch you and your opponent can’t do nothing to beat over it?! *kicks feet up and light the cigar while laughing*

I tinkered with the idea for a bit but the one problem with the golden castle engine is that you have to get to your next turn standby for it to activate. Gren is an otk deck so you always wanna end the game the first turn you can attack

@@GaryAsphodel that’s why I said run negates golden castle has good protection but you can also get the OTKO if you have golden castle and summon up hex trude use her effect to pop a card special summon Gizmeck then Xyz summon dragubulion use its ability to summon number 100 then use its ability to gain 9k attack and end the duel in one turn; you can also use other cards that banish to boost your Gren attack if you have a good opening hand not hard to KO with it I usually win duels within 2-3 turns with Gren

Side note the *ed ones the best ones 1. *Face down cards can’t be used as fusion material but can be used for tributes of a ritual or tribute summon or effect. (There are 3 different options here) 2. *1 Normal summon and 1 set or 2 sets or 2 normal Summons per turn (Or Or or 1 set, 1 normal summon, 1 tribute Summon) (Or or or 1 set/ normal summon per main phase) 3. *You can normal summon in face-up defense position 4. *Tokens can be used as xyz material (But aren’t attached as material) 5. *Increase the Extra and Side deck to 20 6. Draw 1 card when you end your turn 7. *Link monsters can be used as synchro material but count as level 0 ofc 8. get rid of missing timing 9. *Get rid of properly summoning 10. *Ritual monsters that say “YOU CAN ritual summon this card” can also be Special or Normal summoned like regular monsters. Only Rituals that say “MUST BE” must be ritual summoned. Or Ritual Monsters start in the Extra Deck. (Which neither of these can actually exist implemented bc of Drytron and then bc preparation of rites) soooooo rituals need a different buff but I can’t think of anything. Ig they can be special summoned like regular monsters can would be not the normal summoning bc Of drytron. 11. Unlimited normal summons of normal monsters and of any level 1-8 12. *Links aren’t restricted to the EMZONES To be Summoned 13. *Pendulum summoning from the face-up extra deck aren’t restricted to linked zones 14. Once per turn on either turn each player can activate 1 trap from their hand 15. *when a monster attacks another monster thats in defense position and with higher DEF points it’s destroyed after damage calc. 16. Both players can use both the EMZones for any type of monsters. 17. any combination of cards with mutual links can be used to have control of a monster in both mid field Extra Monster Zones. Instead of just the U lock ( u-v-L locks don’t lock your opponent’s out of the extra deck tho) 18. *Monsters in the Mid field Extra monster Zones (aka the regular 2 EMZ) can be used by either player for The summons of Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, XYZ, Link and tributes for tribute Summons. Now both players benefit and take a risk by using the Extra monsters zones (Cards like “urgent tuning” can be used to synchro summon using any monsters in the Emzones(the opponent’s or your own) 19. Monsters in the Pendulum Zones can be used by (the controller) for The summons of Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, XYZ, Link and tributes for tribute Summons 20. You can Fusion summon fusion monsters without poly by Summoning material on top/in the same zone as the other material.( for monster that requires 3 material the material must be on field or in hand just like how poly works. ( if you’ve play Dark Duel stories then you’d know how this works) ( its just a choice between letting this summoning mechanic be a fusion summon or not which ofc it should be counted as Fusion summon so then monsters gain their effects and if the material is sent to the gy or is stays stacked in the same zones.) 21. *Bring back the Pendulum zones but you can only pendulum summon monsters equal to the # of zones in between where you placed your scales in the back row. So with how the board is set up now you can only pen summon 3 monsters. So if you want to summon 5 they’d need to bring back pendulum scale zones plus it’d be cool to set traps in your pendulum zones yk 22. Link monsters Arrow can be used to climb up or down the field creating EMZones on your opponent’s field or your own S/T zones (monsters that are on your side of the field under the opponent’s control can be used as summoning material for link, xyz, synchro, fusion, ritual, or tribute summons) 23. Both And/or Link arrows just let the link monster attack the zones it points to along with monsters in the same Column 24. *Monster in the main monster zones can only attack the monsters in the same column as themselves and when the zone is empty you can attack directly. 25. Monsters In the Mid Field Extra Monster Zones have the chance to target any monsters in the main monster zones for attacks along with the other Mid Field Extra Monster Zone (Cards must be face-up to be attacked) 26. While In the EMZ or main monster zones Pendulum monsters can attack S/T cards/ cards in the S/T zones in the same column as itself. (No damage is delt) And/Or pendulums can only attack an opponent’s Cards in the S/T zones while its been summon to the opponent’s field (in your control) bc the arrow your link monster points to is an opponent’s main monsters zones. (Cards must be face-up to be attacked) 27. Pendulum monsters in the Pendulum zones can attack monsters in the mid field Extra monster zones or Cards ( monster, S/T) across from itself on the opponent’s field in the Pendulum Zones. 28. *All monsters have battle protection from monsters with lower Levels/Ranks then themselves and also have Battle vulnerability with monsters that have a higher Level/ Rank then themselves. Meaning they are instantly destroyed after damage calc when battling a monster with a higher Level/ Rank So All monsters have battle protection and instant destruction upon attacks on monsters in this order. Level 12 beats level 11 and below and Rank 1 beats level 12 and below ect ect ect Or levels and ranks are equivalent meaning a rank 4 and level 4 are equal so they beat level 3 and rank 3 and below but not each other. 29. You can start duels with any number of Pendulum’s monsters face-up on top of the extra deck for you to Pend summon but they take up space in your extra Deck 30. *Add a secondary Extra deck thats only for spells and traps thats 5-10-20 cards and you can once per turn set 1 trap or add it to your hand and 1 activation/set of a spell or add it to your hand ( only in the main phase of the turn players turn) (Pendulum monsters can be place here to) (You Activate any spell you choose from the speed spell deck or you set it depends on if you wanna extra zone to activate spells from or if you wanna make it more of a guess which card is my trap cards kinda deal) 31. Create a separate banlist for the speed spell deck ( you still can only have 3 copies of a S/T card between your main and speed spell deck.) 32. All together your once per turn resources become 1 set of a trap or add it to your hand from the speed spell deck 1 set of a spell or add it to your hand from the speed spell deck 1 normal summon 1 set of a monster 1 Tribute summon 1 pendulum summon 1 activation of a trap from the hand CARD DESIGNS THAT ID LIKE TO SEE IN THE FUTURE THAT COULD HELP BALANCE THE GAME More reprints More possible/realistic 1.
