probably could’ve just gotten a valve cover breather and it wouldve fixed the crankcase pressure without having to replace the catchcan you already had

If I understand, the original catch can was plumbed from the passenger valve cover to the catch can and than to the intake manifold, and the driver valve cover was straight hosed to the intake pre-turbo. And the turbo was not pulling enough pressure out of the crankcase?? The new catch can is connected to both valve covers and simply vents to the atmosphere, and it easily releases the crankcase pressure? I tried this latter setup on my 7.3 powerstroke and everytime I came to a stop, for a red light or whatever, I would get the crankcase fumes into the cab. Horrible smell to deal with. Have you run into this? I ended up putting in two scavenger valves into the ehaust down stream from the turbo. Each valve cover has its own catch can.

*I have a vortech with the upr catch can made for the vortech kit but I was getting problems as soon as I installed it. It was making. A loud pitch whining noise. Turns out it was the check valve that was included it was faulty. Now I hear this was the kit I should of gone with Ron the get go so now I need to order this kit*

All boosted cars should have vta catch cans. Who was your tuner for the whipple? I’m thinking you probably had the same issue before but your tuner probably thought it was just false knock or just desensitized the knock sensors.
