Activision did truly ruin the game. Treyarch did do some stupid changes tho like starting off with mog and specialist and the state the game launched in was unacceptable but this does not mean bo4 was bad. This was activisions fault. The perk system was not an issue although I wish every map was like AE where u could get more than 4 perks by doing challenges. Chaos being released with aether was a bad decision especially since they didn’t fully commit to the idea by cancelling chaos and not having DoTN ready on release instead of IX.

I agree that Bo4 is one of my favorites and I love it a lot. But I dont think its fair to brush aside the bugs and crash issues at launch. I crashed a decent bit and it ended so many Blood easter egg attempts at launch for me, but I still ended up sticking with it and playing it so much. They are fixed now so I think a better argument is to acknowledge that the game was in an extremely unhealthy state at launch but was fixed and has been a non-issue for years

Infinite warfare zombies is by far my favorite. I’ve played your top 5 and still prefer infinite warfare. It’s perfect if you want to just mow zombies down and the Easter eggs vary in difficulty based on which map you chose. Attack of the radioactive thing is pretty annoying with the steps, have a pen and paper ready lol. Spaceland is super easy but great for just jumping into a public match that all skill levels can enjoy. Having completed all the maps multiple times it can get a bit boring if you just want to do easter eggs. Directors cut is pretty sweet though.

I bought Bo4 5 years after its launch because after finishing bo3 I had some busy years. but at last, when I bought it I felt scammed before even playing the games because every single video I saw was hating on bo4. so, I went into the game not expecting much and boy was I surprised. the game was SOOO much fun, and it had perfect difficulty, the map design is absolutely well done (apart from voyage. but it contributes to the map atmosphere I guess) the variety of wonder weapons and their upgrades, shields, monkeys, specialists and special enemies on every map was awesome. and the best thing about bo4 was the easter eggs (yes, I'm an ee nerd that like to memorize part locations) most of the easter eggs were solid aside from some steps that were annoying. but the annoying steps are what makes the map ee hard and gives you that sense of accomplishment at the end. and you can also see that they really gave attention to boss fights. now they have their own animations, fighting style, and unique design (I love IX and ancient evil boss fight and atmosphere) bo4 is a great game and seeing the backlash it got for its state at launch (I didn't play it at launch, so I don't have much to say about it). it really hurts me to see the wasted potential in bo4, if people really gave it a try and didn't just hate on it after its launch, I think zombies would've been truly revolutionized. BTW I want to thank you for your guides, you were the only youtuber that didn't hate on bo4 and made logical guides with helpful tips which made me give it a try and discover this gem

Bo4 launch month was so good. I remember coming home from school and watching Easter egg hunts then trying to complete Easter eggs with friends later. Exploring all the maps was amazing too and the hype surrounding the game was so good.

Although it’s my most played, bo3 is still obviously better but it’s still so cool to see someone have bo4 as #2. Dude thank you for fighting for b04 honestly I love how they tried the perk system because almost every lobby I get into these days still has a different set of perks which was there goal and modifier slot was amazing I honestly love b04 and have spent so long on it in my opinion they have the most fun wonder weapons and the satisfaction of making them or fully upgrading them is amazing such getting allistars anhilator is still one of the best things in cod for me to this day and is one of my favorite zombies out there so thank you again

100% agree accept that the crashing on BO4 was insane. Epecially BOTD. I played on PC and it was essentially RNG or making sure not to do too much at once on the map to not crash. Cant tell you how many attempts it took just due to crashing. It was bad.

I totally agree with the top 3. BO4 haters only listen to what KZbinrs say about the game about the missed potential and rate the game on what it should be. People wanted it to top BO3 which is an insurmountable task just three years later. If you look at what we got it is still an amazing game. Especially when you think about part of the development team getting pulled off to work on blackout.

It feels like a true successor to bo3 although an over ambitious and rushed successor with some terrible design choices(starting off with a specialist and mog, DoTN not being ready on release, aether and chaos being released together). hold on now, we don’t all listen to youtubers, bo4 is tons of fun but there are some unecsessary changes they made for the sake of making changes. they made fixes to stuff that wasn’t broken, like removing jugg, the way perks are in general, putting in an armor system, messing with the og point system and ruining the hud. the game also was a glitchy unfinished mess when it came out, blue screening constantly for some players during easter egg runs at early rounds, running out of budget at the end of its life cycle when it was supposed to be a really cinematic, powerful ending to the entire story of cod zombies built up for over a decade. it was a game that had so much potential and ambition , it was running up blops 3 zombies and it had expectations that were not met. i could go on and on about the issues. it’s so much fun to play but still these problems can’t be ignored

@@danielcalk955i remember launch while still having a blast i did end up stop playing cause i was just tired of blue screening almost every game in terms of glitch’s i actually barely had any it’s not a very glitchy game but the blue screening at launch was a huge problem that made me quit and not even stick around for the dlc season other then watching a couple yt videos when they first came out. Recently tho i been playing it again and doing the easter eggs solo again years later and it’s been a blast i think we were taking zombies for granted and while very dissatisfied with bo4 didn’t realize how good we had it!

I am glad someone ranked Infinite Warfare decently good. IW is one of my favourites and people hate on it so much. The only thing I’d disagree w/ ur ranking is Bo1 (also WaW) I played the hell out of lots of the Bo1 maps and WaW, Der Riese. I’ll go back just to play Der Riese and like half the maps on Bo1 (Shangri La is the bomb) I sadly haven’t given Bo4 a chance. So now I will bc of your video! Awesome vid man.

about bo4 perk system, people complain about no jugg, but man you have 200 hp so that is like having jugg in bo2 lmao. What it felt bad in my opinion is the weapon damage. Coming from bo3, bo4 weapons were meh, but maybe that was because double tap wasn't in this game. I didn't play that much bo4 but custom mutators was a great addition. you want iT harder? you can do it. You hate zombies speed (for me bo3 zombies were slow even at round 15 so it bored me), you can make the zombies sprint since round 1. That's why in my opinion the only good version of bo3 is the pc one since it has all around enhancement. Zombies speed system in bo3 bored me and pissed me off because the previous black ops entries were more intense with pretty much all zombies running by round ten. Then bo3, even at round 15 i feel the zombies take so much time to spawn and even I see zombies walking. Like wtf treyarch?

In al seriousness I believe that people that say "waw is one of the best zombies experience ever" or one that "they would recommend for starting players" legit have never played it apart from maybe 10 years ago or saw in a youtube video. It made the ground for what zombies is today but it is such an outdated and barebone game. You literally get bored from waiting for zombies to spawn and theres nothing else other than survive to do. A whole lotta people say it's great but dont play the game either.

Including 2020+ and it’s always at the end of EE or attempting round 150 on classified and getting blue screen on the rounds 60’s. But still worth playing. There's a reason why BO4 killed the community, set aside the buggy launch, the catering to hardcore fans limited the accessibility of the game mode. BOTD, VOD, XI, and DOTN EEs all catered towards hardcore fans, and they are difficult to get into, even for normal fans of the mode. It speaks volumes when Trayarch made the EEs easier halfway through the season. That's why Cold War was much easier, just to bring in a new audience because the majority of the community during BO4 quit due to it's faults.

I didn't like black ops 4 when it came out because I was too young when it released. (I was 15) And I feel like I just wasn't ready to handle a game that was that complicated. Between the shitty KZbin tutorials and the fact that I was stuck in the Tim Hansen echo chamber of thinking his word was law! Now that I'm a little older I can't go a single week without loading up that game and doing some new stupid challenge! Black ops 4 is a master class on how to make a good zombies product! I just wish the community wasn't so mean to it when it came out!

BO4 ruined perks which caused progression to get messed up. I also like doing no jug challenges, which on BO4 that doesn't exist because you can never get jug. I do enjoy high rounds more than Easter eggs, which is also why I might not like this game very much. I was able to make it to round 70 running around with just a shotgun on blood. They also messed up training because the zombies became sentient, which made camping or just running the only viable strats

Honestly BO4 was not bad in the way people say it is but it’s no way that good. Just like BO2, the maps were hella inconsistent with maps like Alpha Omega and Voyage but you also had pretty good ones like Ancient Evil and IX. The fact that I can get to round 100 with the Ethereal Razor modifier and a unpaped Balistic knife is so stupid and easy same thing with using the Helion, that rocket launcher was better than MOST WONDER WEAPONS IN THE GAME!!!

Thanks for bringing up cold wars atrocious point systems. I fell like people never talk about it enough and personally it’s one of my biggest problems with the game. When I play zombies I typically run a point weapon and a power weapon so I can make points easily but if I get into a bad situation I got something to fall back on. In Cold War there is no point in getting an ar, smg, pistol, or tac rifle.

@@seansalami4068 yes but If I run a smg or ar I am putting myself at a disadvantage. A game should not put you at a significant disadvantage if you want use something other than a small handful of its many weapons. That’s why the previous system worked far better. Even at high rounds it was worth using a significantly weaker weapon due to the fact it would give you far more points. By taking that away it makes using those guns less rewarding since it’ll mean I don’t make it as far. Your cutting down on opportunity and replay-ability to change something fundamental that doesn’t need to be changed. It’s just bad game design.

I’ve been a zombies player since WaW days man while I disagree with a few things here I appreciate you’re take on bo4. I remember when the game dropped people were rightfully upset cause it was near unplayable due to errors and bugs. That mixed with them ending the storyline for our original crew on remade maps rather than unique experiences seemed to be where most of the dissapointment was. All of that is valid imo but I think it was a fun game nonetheless. The perk system took getting used to I think it was objectively worse than what we already had but it was fun because it was foreign. Most of the maps were great and even tho some were remakes I thought they were still fun especially Alpha Omega considering the last nuke town map was limited in scope. Also Cold War could’ve been one do the greatest of all time if they just gave us more content

Honestly same here and its not got much to do with it being the introduction of zombies The sound effects of the zombies and weapons top anything else in the series, the maps are all great survival maps tho not everyone is into that sort of thing, and the glitches were both a benefit and detriment to the game tho i would probably rather not have them Glitches like the instakill glitch and 24 cap have made it so that the first 3 maps have the highest high round records of any map which is cool but at the same time i dont want to lose my jug by accidentally zapping myself with the wunderwaffle

I did like cold war but now that i think about it more, the lack of needing to hit the mystery box or wall buys really holds it back massively to me and makes it seem more boring

Cold War is the exact opposite of BO4. BO4 has enemies that combat the fact you're "overpowered" right off of spawn and Cold War doesn't have this because all you need is ring of fire and then boom. BO4 actually tries and challenges you but CE just doesn't. The gun variety is big but you won't use any of the guns besides a shotgun.

I love finally seeing bo4 love it's the zombies game that was the peak of my cod obsession. I pre ordered the collectors edition. I was so hyped, and somehow, I got my copy a day early letting me play the game before release, and that made me adore it and fell in love with it maxing every content season and reaching prestige master in zombies after doing the same in bo3 and now years later I still play bo4 cause it such a fun time and I even get to have fun regrinding to prestige master due to me switching from xbox to playstation. I hope one day bo4 is looked back om by most players as a goat

Id swap ww2 with aw and cold war with IWz. Bo4 is my favourite but it just gets out played with so much content on bo3 imo.

games evolve. A game that released in 2020 is better than a game that released in 2010 that was one of the first zombies. The graphics got better, the movement and game mechanics got better, the maps got more in depth, the environments werent all grey and foggy. They added more depth to the eastereggs and whatnot. Its not a hot take

My only complaint about BO4 is the perk system. I like the additions of the new perks but removing the classics was what put a bad taste in my mouth about BO4. I'd probably have it at 3 or 4 on my personal list but I have no complaints with your justification of having it at 2 you make great points. That being said the maps are great, stories are good (I don't understand the hate for chaos), and overall is fun to play if you can get past them removing classic perks

BO4 is just simply by far the most boring zombies mode for me, you spawn in with the wonder weapon and the challenge of any map is completely gone if you farm points in spawn for like six rounds using specialist and longer double points at good times

That’s fair but you can also disable it/make the charge speed really slow in Custom Mutations
