Such a literary and dimensional series. So much intensity and depth to most of these cold opens, each one almost tells a little story in itself. STILL one of the most brilliant TV series I've ever seen. Watching these makes me want to start rewatching the entire series. Snoop buying the nail gun still cracks me up. But even the subtle ones, like Officer Beatrice getting stuck with the 13 bodies speaks volumes. Excellent post.

An interesting and unique choice. The montage of the consequences of Avon and Marlo's war coveys so much so quickly, but Muzone's cynical smile when referring to the empty city's promises of reform is the highlight for me.

1:50:40 That scene with Hurc walking in on Mayor Royce getting a bj, only to slam the door and walk down a hallway filled with portraits of past Baltimore mayors seemingly staring down at him as he leaves will never not be funny. What makes it even funnier is the shot of the last portrait before the cut to the starting credits. I think that's a portrait of Thomas D'Alesandro...also known as Nancy Pelosi's dad. LOL! Also, the fact that Omar can leave the house in his pj's, unarmed, and still manage to rob a stash house through nothing but his sheer presence is a true masterclass on how to write a good scene.

The season 3 premiere intro is the best one. The tower coming down shows the downfall of the barksdale crew and the rise of Marlo. The whole theme for season three was reform for every character. The show reached a turning point in season three
