Pitless Ball Clips

Күн бұрын

1. I defined a game winning/game tying shot as a shot to take the lead or tie with 24 seconds or less left in the 4th quarter/OT
2. if you want to count those shots I show at the end totally understandable just wanted to show my work

If you include the last shot that I didn’t include Damian Lillard is 7th out of 62 players to take 50+ shots of this variety (started being tracked in 1997) and if you don’t include that shot he is T-6th out of 62

Well, because Curry does this when his team comes together, Dame does this when he’s having a good game, think about it like this, when you have Curry and Klay on a team, they don’t know who to look out for, and for a couple of years, you can add KD to that, but with dame, you know that they’re going to him EVERY time

@@MarkLaw13 Yeah, you're right. Dame has hit a couple of game winners in the playoffs that greatly enhanced his reputation. Steph meanwhile is like 0-12 on last seconds shots in the playoffs. So that creates an exaggerated difference between them when they're really pretty similar in terms of clutch performance. I will say that Dame seems to be better at creating separation for his jumper though (compared to Steph). I also noticed that both aren't thay great at finishing at the rim. But it makes sense seeing as they are small guards and the rim is often well defended. Bu generally speaking, if you can hit higher than 30% of shots in the clutch, you're pretty much in good company. That seems to be the percentage most superstars hover around.
@raddad1464

It's not poor at all. It's top 15 all time in clutch stats. What do you have to shoot to be great in the clutch? There aren't even 5 guys that shoot over 50%. Not even 3
