Every Detail of my Tacoma Overland Build - Updated Walkaround

Hey guys! A lot has changed to the truck since the first walkaround, so I thought I'd go through a complete list of all (most) of the modifications I've done recently to give you an update on the build. As mentioned in the video, this will change slightly in the future, but it's almost fully built exactly for my needs. I'm so incredibly stoked on how it sits now and feel I have a perfect blend of comfort and capability.

I really like this setup. Heavy, but super functional. Will be curious to see where you go from here. Can you provide any details about how you are mounting that propane tank? I've been looking for a simple solution and that massive quickfist-looking thing looks perfect.

Appreciate it! Yeah that mount was super easy. It's like an XL quick fist that's mounted in the factory bed rail channel. I put an aluminum plate backer behind it.

Dumb question, the bottle holder is quick fist correct? Which one? I can never seem to find anything in stock for 9" ish diameter/5lb tank. I haven't run yet for a complete season but the power tank bracket I have seems too fiddlely already. Thanks!

You can run it without the winch, but there’s not a winch less option. It will just be an empty space.

Bolted type fenders on your Tacoma will look more aggressive and a bit retro being a Toyota. Wheels colour combo on your old rig was better than all chrome wheels. Chrome wheels style with black colour and a chrome bead rings just like the old combo gonna look much better, in my humble opinion.

Sir : Dude I'm getting ready to get/buy currently shopping for a Toyota tacoma 4x4 so I'm looking forward to it . Minus the battle having to do upgrades yea the guy stuff the wife wont understand lol. Guess I'll be married to my other ❤my ( credit cards Company ) LOLOLOL but love your Toyota your showing yea I want mine to look like that . Old retired guy so I gotta budget but I'll get there . I may have overlooked it, but who makes the LCA skids? I just bent the alignment tabs on my passenger side. I must have spun a football up into it.

I would get some LCA and cam tab gussets. I have some from marlin crawler and it prevents those tabs from getting bent. Skid plates won't do much to save those tabs. But my lca skids are from RCI.

Hey there, I think in one of your videos you said that you have SPC UCA? If so, are your boots leaking from the grease at all? I just had my lift installed about 6 months ago and now I'm hearing a popping sound on the upper right and I see it leaking I wonder if that could be the problem?

They are just a little, but that's ok to leak some. I'd pump some more grease in your ball joint. That should stop the noise if that's where it's coming from. You have to grease those a couple times a year.

It reminds me of a ball joint that's wore out or something like that and it's only making noise on the right side when I'm turning and going over a bump. Driving straight and hitting bumps. No problems. I took it to the shop that installed everything that's been doing lifts for over 20 years and they re-tightened everything to make sure and said nothing was loose. Thanks man!
