Tetrachromacy: It doesn't give people the ability to see a new color. The extra color sensitivity exists between green and red. They simply have the ability to notice finer differences in the same colors.

@@chro. Yeah lol
@7JJDX25 күн бұрын
It would still be seeing new colors as having a 4th cone in between the red and green cones would (in theory) allow them to see a red-green impossible color. The reason for this being an impossible color is that when we normally combine red and green we get brown/yellow rather than a red-ish green, or a green-ish red. The best way to imagine this color is as a version of teal except instead of it being a green-ish blue or a blue-ish green it would be a green-ish red/red-ish green. The reason why people with trichromacy can't see this color is because "the red-green opponent neuron can either signal red or green, but not both". Having the orange color cone would allow for the ability to see unique color blends that aren't perceivable to people with only 3 color cones.

@@skalpe3155 for humans t is a relatively rare side effect, sure, but it can happen with even non-myostatin defficient people with increased muscle mass, because bone are subjected to material exhaustion, too. And if somebody's muscles are not limited, it will make this happen faster. Combine this with the increased need of calcium for the muscles to function and you get a nutritional nightmare. In GM animals like myosstatin-KO chichens there are no way to make this work and this kind of experiments have been shot down early on due to the suffering which it causes (not like inbreeding dogs to apnoe oblivion and other degenerative diseases).

@thepaintcreators24 күн бұрын
Each of these disorders really showcases the extraordinary range of human abilities hidden within our DNA. It’s mind-blowing to think that someone with Tetrachromacy can see colors others can't even imagine, or that someone with Hyperthymesia can remember every detail of their life as if it happened yesterday. This video really highlights how these 'superpowers' make the world even more fascinating, revealing just how diverse and unique human experience can be!
@lonestarr149024 күн бұрын
Actually, the additional colors tetrachromatics see basically stem from a finer resolution in the color spectrum. So they can differentiate colors that look the same to everyone else. So in some way, you can imagine those colors. You can even create most of them in Photoshop, for instance. (I don't know whether or not the color resolution of a tetrachromatic exceeds the one of Photoshop and alike.)
@thepaintcreators23 күн бұрын
@@lonestarr1490 That’s a great point-thanks for explaining it! I hadn’t thought of it that way. It’s interesting to realize that while tetrachromatics have this unique perception, we can still get a taste of it with tools like Photoshop. Now I’m curious about just how far their color resolution goes compared to technology. Imagine if one day we had screens that could actually match what they see!

That is what i have. Even my family thinks i'm weird remembering shit (in the most vivid way) they do not even remember happening. I am tweaking right now. My mom said that i learned how to read when i was 4 years old (i was reading before kindergarten). I also remember not understanding a single word and just autopiloting words, my first language is filipino cuz both my parents are, and i don't understand it at the time, but the intonations and nuances came naturally to me like i have autocorrect (of course i got some of them wrong, it's never perfect, but i learned much when i grew up). To combat the energy issue we would also need to create better beneficial bacteria to help get more out of our food and gene editing for improved Atp production( the thing our cells make and use as energy).

Studies of cosmic radiation has shown it can effect ground based computers if it hits the chip at the right place. There was at least one airplane mishap (not crash, reacted abnormally to flight controls and then was fine) where the only way the error could have occurred was due to cosmic radiation. It's why the space shuttle had computers running in parallel and a voting system so if one computer disagreed it was probably effected during its computations. I write the above because its what is theorized causes genetic mutations. Note some theories of the "garbage" areas of genes are now thought to be part of error correction. Whether a mutation expresses in a population is a factor of if the error is in a gamete, the error correction can eliminate it, and how that individual's other genes and their adaptability favors the line flourishing.

Tricho-dento-osseous syndrome (TDO) is a rare, systemic, autosomal dominant genetic disorder that causes defects in hair, teeth, and bones respectively. This disease is present at birth. Defects in bones too, not improvement.

@djtrac3r93525 күн бұрын
@ I mean yeah, but usually our bodies only use excessive strength when it’s a life or death situation. It’s why you hear stories of police officers lifting cars off a trapped mother and their children.

I feel like hyperthymestic syndrome fits me, cause i can remember exact things as long as i remember when it happened as if i'm watching it through a screen. But i suck at studying for tests because no matter how much i repeat i can't get it into my head :(

I can't be too sure though since i haven't been officially diagnosed but this is the first time i'm hearing of something that sounds extremely simillar to what i have
@Fedor_Shtykov3 күн бұрын
That sounded very familiar to me as well. I don't see another way for someone with such a bad memory to remember something from 17 years ago (that one fairy tales book I read when I was a kid) or when I got bronchitis on the first day of school ever (down to the physical feelings I had or how my mother mixed warm milk and honey because that was believed to help with that sort of thing).
@dubbyplays2 күн бұрын
@@Fedor_Shtykov I have a better explanation for that but you should also check
@Fedor_Shtykov2 күн бұрын
@@dubbyplays, internet says that it can be sclerosis. But I doubt that I'd have it at the age of 21. My memory has been like that since I went to school. Probably because that's when I actually started trying to remember things. So the brain said "nope, I'm not doing that" and proceded to remember anything but what I wanted to remember. But later I forgot half of it.

I think I have hyperthymesia, I remember a lot of very useless information but I cant really control what I remember it just happens, I have god awful memory and when I explicitly try to remember things its even worse, and I have an incredibly difficult time moving on from traumatic experiences, its like my brain just does a pattern recognition on every minute detail of something bad that happened and explicitly makes me remember it, just out of nowhere, it happens multiple times a day

to anyone wondering about this, ive browsed on andnextcomesl, they have a really comprehensive list of symptoms. Im actually quite astounded at this and may have even be misdiagnosed with aspergers, or maybe the hyperlexia is a side effect from it. Defo something to bring up to the doc

"they might remember what they ate on a random day, but forget what they studied for the next exam" - that is the most relatable thing I've heard in this video. And yeah, remembering bad and traumatic events still applies. Maybe I should go get that diagnosed, so that everyone around me stops telling me to train my memory.
