Something I really appreciate about Spiff is that even when he has a devastating loss, he always responds to it with a laugh or a smile or a frank comment. I prefer it way more than the intense bouts of gamer rage other people might have. I think it's part of what makes his content so chill and comfortable to watch. Even when it's a high stress situation, at the end of the day we're just here to play video games and have a good time, and I think Spiff embodies that really well.

A quick tip for bracken haters who are ALSO attempting runs solo- close doors behind you. Bro hasta open doors if he's not in the room with you. So not only can you catch him every time you turn to close a door, but if he's sneaking up on you the loud ass door gives him away. If you hear a door open and it WASN'T you, good time to check your back.

Not only for the Bracken either, Coilheads can struggle with doors for a bit, if you get far enough away, you lose aggro and you can go back to looting, Thumpers are sight based as well, as they are low to the ground; they can't see through the windows of the door either. The door won't save you if it's chasing you though.

Turrets are really scary, yeah. They don't look like it based on their scan patterns, but they can aim pretty much anywhere - elevation difference will not save you - and they fire a frankly absurd amount of bullets to ensure that you can't just rush through the stream. I think you can crouch under them when they're berserked (after hitting them) with some potential of success, but obviously that's not a particularly good idea unless you have literally nothing to lose. People just.. don't understand that. The wait is always worth it for the next Spigg video, don't you worry about that.

or you can just kite around them when they are in "self defense mode" since they fire constantly, but do a relatively slow 360 rotation as they shoot. (go up to turret, hit, then get out of the way of the self defense mode firing)

if they catch you offguard and you have no chances of hiding away, you can run straight at them, strafe and jump just before they start shooting, and get behind them to survive. very nice for when i get unlucky with them being there in apparatus room

The objective is to collect scrap to sell to your company to make “Quota”. If you don’t make it you lose. Hostile creatures slow your progress down so you usually avoid them or kill them if you’re lucky.

The thing about the Jester is not that it will necessarily kill you but that it makes it impossible to get deeper into the facility. You have about a minute until the Jester pops and chases you (though that was made longer in the newest update) so any loot further inside is pretty much lost and if you only have two hundred collected so far that's all you'll get for the day. Especially if the Jester then camps one of the entrances where it WILL see you. Sure, you then can go to the other entrance but that may be blocked by a locked door or it's near the other entrance so you'll have to go by the Jester anyways. It just changes the way you have to approach the day and how much scrap you can collect without getting killed. It only really kills you if you are too far away from the exit to get there in time.

Slimes are usually really easy, minus one, specific, situation. If the slime spawns at the door you just die. No possible way to avoid it, you are just dead.

idk if you read these spiff, but the ghost girl spawns on titan if you scan. if you scan less, she won’t come as often. the reasons she spawns is 1. turning often and 2. scanning a lot. if there are multiple people in the lobby, the person who scans the most will be haunted first.

after seeing you trying LC solo, I've started playing it solo out of curiosity. it is now my absolute favorite thing right now; I have lots of natural anxiety and the game is so much scarier and intense for me, and it makes it really fun! without people talking I hear every single ambient sound, and the stakes are incredibly high. it's been really fun doing casual solo company for my friends to watch.

Funni you upload this the day I decide to start a new [more-or-less casual] solo run by buying a boom box, for no reason other than to know where I'm going kinda + because the good vibes just take off some of the stress the atmosphere adds when you're playing alone This game has like 3 tones/modes: Single-player horror, fun time co-op with 3 or 4 people, and really fuckin awkward interaction engine with just 2 Also I have had 14:55 pretty much happen to me exactly like that too, I was dropping stuff off the ledge then one masked came out and just ran by toward the fire exit, then another came out and eyed me down so I just jumped to my death - I genuinely thought the first was my partner running over to the fire exit when in reality he was already dead because of a jester, and I heard none of the chaos Additionally, a rule of thumb I have when I take a whoopie cushion along is to just put it in the locker, that way I know where it is and it's not fucking me over

3:20 One thing I want to note about Sand Worms, not sure if true In another person's playthrough, they just crouched and backed up and survived But I've seen you turn around and run in the other direction, saw immediately that the worm was still in front of you , and saw you run forwards and die both times So I believe how the Sand Worm works maybe that it jumps out of the ground in front of where you are looking, and tracks the direction you're facing until it pops out of the ground. Not too sure how that works in multiplayer, but the one time I've seen you survive so far was in the other video and the other guy died, so. . I think the one where you died you were the only one in the area 3:40 Uhhh. . . huh. . . . okay. . Not sure I have an answer to that, lol

you know, @minfue brought up an amazing point. I've been playing Calamity Mod and it's been pissing me off up until recently. Both that game and Spiff have taught me to enjoy the struggles. I choose to play the game, and any time I die, it's always on me, each one being a learning experience. TLDR; Spiggsyphus is at it again Edit; Calamity has been going well, I’m abt to do Moon Lord today so wish me luck :)

Apparently, if you already have enough items on the ship for some portion of the quota, the game will spawn in way more monsters sooner. More enemies will also spawn with each day closet to the quota, regardless of how many items or money you have.
