Being the nice guy cost him half his paycheck, stalled his career, and lost brain cells, and one step closer to cte. To me that's not worth it. Hang on to the sub until the ref stops it.

The 6 fights between losing to MJ and Khabib were all exciting as could be. From rallying back against Jim Miller, to the first Alvarez fight, the wars against Pettis, Alvarez 2, Gaethje, and finally beating up on Max Holloway. While watching this I realized that I’ve never knocked anyone out in my life. I’d never really put any thought into it. Now, I”ve never started a fight in my life because I’m not a douchebag, but I’ve definitely finished every fight I’ve been forced into. However, I’ve only ever had to fight drunken douche bags or mouthy people who crossed a line, but they were normal humans so it’s nothing impressive either way. I preface all of that to say that while I don’t WANT to hurt ANYBODY… knocking someone must be a strangely incredible feeling. Even more so, knocking out another professional fighter must feel beyond what words could explain. We’re humans. Everyone of us exists because at least SOMEONE in our bloodline undoubtedly had to fight for their lives. It’s in our DNA whether we’re kind or not. So again… I don’t want to hurt anybody… but that feeling must be incredible.

Most people were surprised because they still thought about their first encounter at a lower weight class and Conor's hype and marketing. By the third fight everyone knew what was going to happen. Dustin reincarnated his career, he's a totally different fighter at lightweight and his stand up is miles ahead of Conor's left hand. Wouldn't bet against Poirier avenging his loss to Charles if they rematch.
