Summerween shouldn't count in the trend of "Mabel gulittrips Dipper until things goes her way". Both Dipper and Mabel were excited to go trick or treating and wear matching costumes until Wendy implied that trick or treating is lame. Dipper lies to Mabel and is the sole reason the Halloween tricksters targets them. It's all Dipper's fault that they almost get killed, since he lost all of the candy they got all because he wants to impress Wendy, a girl he has zero chance with and who should have never invited him to the party to begin with. Like seriously, he's twelve and shouldn't be at a high school party

Dipper caused the problem with Summerween, but Mabel refusing to take it seriously until they were about to die is what got to me. Dipper had the solution to buy the candy but no, Mabel basically said "nah lets take the long and unlikely to succeed route because being at risk of death is fun". I dont hate Mabel at all, but sometimes she can annoy me. She *is* 12 at the end of the day though, so I cant be too upset about it and I was basically the same way as a kid.

I understand where you're coming from on Summerween, but I don't (personally) agree with the statement that this is another episode where Mabel guilt trips Dipper because something doesn't go her way. Originally in the episode we saw both Mabel and Dipper get excited for Summerween and planned on going trick or treating together. Suddenly (to Mabel), Dipper gets "sick" and has a weird cough and says that he can't go anymore. Later in the episode Mabel finds out that Dipper wasn't sick at all and had lied to instead go to a party. Mabel was clearly really hurt and Dippers actions lead to them having to collect the 500 pieces of candy and losing it all. Dipper should've just been honest with Mabel from the start, Mabel may not have liked it but she had Candy and Grenda to go trick or treating with. That's just my opinion! Great video!!

23:27 part of the point of this Episode, I’ve always thought, was to Teach Dipper/The Audience that Wendy & Dipper won’t happen, they keep the subplot going till Season 2 but right here their telling us that they don’t plan for Wendy to be in love with Dipper, I also see it as the universe trying to tell Dipper that he ain’t gonna end up with Wendy, so while it is a Mabel guilting Dipper episode I largely excuse it as less of Mabel’s own free will and the universe doing everything in it’s power to communicate with Dipper(and he doesn’t take the hint)

Two: They write Soos to be an idiot; even more than usual, for seemingly no reason. Three: They don’t take full advantage of the premise; of a sentient Monika-ish video game character.
