I built a gornog deck, pure warriors spam red deck wins aggro with a bunch of exile draw, it's surprisingly effective, often pushing 15+ damage on turn 5. Wanting to keep multiple players alive for those +6/+0, even +9/+0 aura on your cheap warriors after a few attacks makes for a surprisingly fun and dynamic aggro deck too that doesn't make players feel like they're hated out. I honestly think it's in the top 5 of the set

It's akin to an extremely fast and aggressive leaning version of jetmir, that extra attack + unlockables makes for some extremely strong boards quick, with the downside of a somewhat limited cardpool (but not too bad! There's a lot of great warriors)

Love the Minotaur Warrior for my Hazezon deck. For 3 mana, I make it so the best creature each opponent has can't block and the Sand Warriors get +3/+0 till end of turn, and only increases if they let the Minotaur stay around

Glad you guys didn't underestimate Ivora too much, I tested her out this weekend and I discarded ( blood rush) and a wrecking ogre and wheeled with magus to deal lethal Commander damage through 3 eldrazi. I also had a situation which a player used Teferis protection so I used fervent mastery to dig for insult//injury and stomp// bone crusher giant while powering her up even more

With Slinza, the Spiked Stampede in the command zone that turns Aether Charge into commander damage when it's Slinza doing the triggering. There are other good cards for this commander too like Krosan Warchief who also reduces casting cost for beasts but also provides regeneration for target beasts. With Aether Charge in play Ezuri's Predation is just a game ender. Contested Cliffs is even useful with this commander. Beasts may not be the best supported type out there but there are some fun cards you could make a good deck with.

When talking about Niv-Mizzet you talked about finally having a place for End the Festivities but it has been amazing in my Taii Wakeen perfect Shot deck which is from OTJ Boros Burn is a really good deck and Taii Wakeen is a greatly overlooked commander!

Yall definitely slept on my boy Gornog. The "Coward" debuff is permanent and happens when him or ANY warrior attacks, and pumps up your board for each one. Every game I've played with him every opposing creature is a coward and I'm swinging in for 20+ unblockable damage at times. Card is an absolute slapper

What cannot be disputed is that the borderless foil of Kykar, Zephyr Awakener is the undisputed most beautiful card from the Foundations set. Absolutely shelling out and building the Azorius control thing, to the chagrin of my pod. I'm there for a good time, AND a long time.

Honestly I do think tinybones is very solid considering if you can get enough discard in your deck, it won’t matter if they choose their discards, because they’ll be discarding too much to keep you from getting good cards off them. Plus an extra hand that can’t be touched really frees you up to take more instant utility and removal to balance out the stash being limited to your turn.

The exile card face down is specifically so the owner of the card does not knowledge of it. Like if you steal a counterspell and everyone has knowledge they kind of play it around you since it’s public knowledge to everyone

#20 Fumulus the Infestation can be a mono-black Vampire commander, especially with the draining effect. Vampire already do aristocrat stuffs and the insect token is just a plus.

Be fun to use Zimone to double the number of counters on artifacts like Banshee Blade, Jitte, Elementist's Palatte, Threefold Thunderhulk, or That Which Was Taken or even Titan Forge

Think Brigone is underrated. I think she’s one of the strongest monoW commanders. The heroic is a nice bonus. It’s a +1+1 counter deck paired with power 2 subtheme. Think yoshimaru but with a draw engine… busted.

gornog's effect is both permanent and removes all other creature types, it stacks quite fast getting you a constant pump to a pretty common creature type, it's arguably a top contender for red from the whole set

Ozox can form an infinite loop with Phyrexian Altar and Ashnod's Altar. Sac. him to Ashods, get Jumble, sac. to Phyrexian for black, return Ozox to hand, recast Ozox and repeat. Combos with any etb ltb payoffs. Imo not the worst commander in the set.

I think fumulus is way better than you think, just ignore playing insects, make them with edicts and play things like gravepact, easy S Tier Commander, opponents without creatures are in most cases "no opponents"

I feel like Neerdiv and Niv Mizzet are, by far, the most "powerful" commanders from the set. Both of which are already seeing cEDH builds. Not necessarily the most interesting, compelling, or fun card design...but I dont think Loot is anywhere close to the power potential of Niv Mizzet.

Niv Mizzet is easily the most busted commander on this list. There are some many ways to ancestral recall. I mean look at boltweave........ 1 mana draw 9 cards.........so dumb

Disagree about Ozox. He is an infinite, instant speed combo for infinite colorless mana with Phyrexian Altar or mill with Altar of Dementia, or any other really goofy sacrifice driven combos you want to do. I like him in the 99 in a lot of my decks with black. I should probably note I don’t play with a lot of players that have graveyard hate.
