Bale is unique. He started as left back and than evolved into universal attacking machine, able to play as a winger or striker or being everywhere on the pitch. I don't remember such a big player turning from defender to attacker on such level

Honestly, having watched both for their entire careers since teenagers, I have to say that Bale's last year with us he showed more individual dominance than anything I've ever seen from Ronaldo. Sure Ronaldo is more consistent and has a defter touch, is a better leader etc... but Bale was just a force of nature like nothing I've ever seen. When he's on form and healthy he's unmatched.
