My top 2 mops that I've used so far: OTR 003 cause it's so fun to squeeze and the nib is great, and the Krink k-60 but only for the silver cause that paint is soo nice

Thanks man! Yeah the OTR ones are a bit all over the place for me. Like they have some super good ones, but then they have ones that are like a noticeably lower quality plastic and that sort of thing. I don't know why they seem to try to do everything instead of sticking to what has worked in the past.

Maybe its just the red, cause I know some red paints are pretty thin, but I got the red grog FMP refill and to be honest it seems more like a dye than a paint. Its super see through, runs like crazy, it honestly feels like a red ink/dye aha. Maybe its just the red though. Can't wait till you try the MTN Street Paint though. I know you'll love that.

I actually don't think I've ever tried the red. I usually have bought the darker colours, but a red is a staple one that should be good, so that is surprising. Even in this video, I hadn't used either the yellow or orange and was pretty disappointed with the transparency. So maybe a lot of their lighter colours have some issues. 🤔 It's good to hear your experiences with that too. I'll probably avoid the red now too haha

Quick tip: If ya have a 5 and don't like it, Molotow Rollerball heads fit great and I kinda feel its a bit more squeezy than the Molotow Rollerball tbh. Something to think about. Cheers Sciz.

That is a great tip. I do find the grog mini squeezers a bit more flexible than the Molotow ones, but I would definitely miss the refill from the back system. haha That tiny opening is so hard to fill x.x

@@Jiggy_Jayy by shaking really friggin hard for a long time. I've actually found that if you're dedicated enough, you can get a good result from mixing bases, but you have to work fast before it starts to separate or clump. I have an ink/paint mix that gives a really cool two-tone effect but the paint clumps fast and you can only get a tag or two out of it before the colors separate. Never let anyone tell you something isn't possible, especially not physics.

Nice! I found that the bullet marker seemed to run best with either a thinner paint in it or an ink, just fyi. I had initially put the soultip paint in it (like it says to do lol) and found it to not flow as well as with a thinner paint or an ink/paint mix.

Yeah all the warm colours of the grog don't do so well for opacity I've noticed. The nib could also be part of it. If there is one part of grog that is less than high quality, I'd definitely have to say it's the nibs. They tend to tear apart quickly on me no matter what, although I don't treat them the best.

You gave such a great review! There is no debate that they make a great product BUT those nibs are maybe the worst that I've used. Do you have an alternative (either homemade or purchased) for the mini 5 nib? Mine tore apart after maybe 5 tags (3 on porcelain and 2 on carboard). It's too good of a mop to let go and I have to figure out a way to replace the nib.

Hey thanks for your Video. I also like the grog paint because of its weather proofnes. I once had a grog mop filled with the dope liquid refill and made so tags and after years they still look like the where just done yesterday. I had it in silver and I think it was even better than the fmp. But the ink was really thick. Saddly I lost that marker after I made some tags. But I definitly will buy a grog marker with fmp and when its empty I try dope liquid again to compare them.

Yeah I do have to say, specifically with the 5mm, like you saw with mine too in the video, the nib just can't handle the real world of tagging lol. Most nibs I will replace once it gets torn up like that, but with the 5mm I just leave it since I know I'll need a new one the next time I use it anyway lol

That's a great question since they are so similar. First off, yeah the nib is fine on smooth metal and the like but just a couple catches on some rust or something will definitely damage it. :/ refilling the 05 is actually a pain even with a funnel. But if you have a really thin one that is not homemade it's not bad. I personally have to say I prefer the 007 soultip, because it's a lot more squeezable and I really like the control you have with it. But the 10ml in it runs out super fast so there is that trade off to consider. The 05 grog holds enough paint or ink to keep you running for a surprisingly long time, and it shouldn't be discounted either as anything but a really well constructed mop in my opinion. That's probably my best answer i can give in terms of a comparison.

Flash yellow is bogus. It’s hella transparent. Any of the other colors are solid just stay away from ANY NEON color. Especially in the otr soul tip paint refill line as well. The neons turn white in a matter of a few days from sun exposure. If you want a nice thick yellow Id recommend the OTR SOUL TIP PAINT Yellow 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼🤘🏼 soul tip is my go to mop paint, it’s opaque and just the right thickness so you can get nice drips and opaque lines

It definitely looks good and pops like crazy, just won’t retain the color as long as a NON neon color ya know. That’s just what happens with neon anything. Have fun with that shit doe. I literally have all of the soul tip paints, I’ve got every color in the grog fmp as well. They’re both nice mop refills but if I had to choose one over the other I’m for sure going OTR !

I make my own mop ink out of acrylic house paints thinned out and boosted with colours and other additives former US president jimmy Carter is a great paint hook up and i bet he doesn't even know it.

well just cause i make my own doesn't mean it's necessarily a "good formula" I think it looks great on a wall and drips nice but i doubt I'm meeting some kind of industry standard in terms of safety and best manufacturing process and i have yet to succeed at my end goal which is to make the nastiest bleedingist sun dress ruining ink so nasty buffers phone their bosses and quit and go get a real job after trying to buff one tagg.

fuckin'... GROGaganda! I've bought 3 of the big squeezer mops (25 fmp) and had my first run yesterday with a yellow and it felt a bit underwhelming to be honest, I was kinda sad to see how transparent it came out. It's my understanding that good opaque yellow pigments are difficult to obtain but still... I just watched a review from another guy and I think I'll be more satisfied with the red and gold ones I got. My first mop was a yellow Montana dabber and the opacity of the paint was spot on.

Grog does seem to have some trouble with the yellows and oranges in terms of opacity. The warm colours in general are for sure a bit of a problem for them a bit more than other brands I'd say

I know this thread is old as fuck but here's a reply for everyone: In my experience GROG has good paint (the full metal line) I LOVE the "Ferrari red" and "Jellyfish fuchsia" is awesome as well BUT you really like REALLY have to shake them a lot before you go on a run cuz it just settles like crazy. Walking around and seeing my yellow tags nowadays I came to the conclusion that I should have shake my mop more frequently before and during the run so pigments are well mixed
