After much hunting and diligent editing, here is every Hitchcock cameo ever spotted from his beginning in silent cinema to his graphic horror in the 70s. If you can't spot him in the video, I've made a handy guide for each clip you see.
Watching guide:
The Lodger: A Story of London Fog- 2 cameos! Clip 1: The man shouting into the phone in the bottom center, Clip 2: in the middle of the crowd with the fake beard
Easy Virtue- walking with a cane on the right
Blackmail- sitting on the left being harassed by a child (one of his longest cameos)
Murder! - walking across the shot from left to right
The 39 Steps- walking to the right and tossing a piece of paper on the ground
Young and Innocent- to the left fiddling with a camera (another of Hitchcock's longest)
The Lady Vanishes- walking to the left smoking a cigar and shrugging his shoulders
Rebecca- in the background walking to the left wearing a bowler hat
Foreign Correspondent- reading a newspaper on the left
Mr. and Mrs. Smith- walking from left to right as the camera pulls out
Suspicion- 2 cameos! clip 1: leading the horse, clip 2: mailing a letter in the background
Saboteur- top left corner under the light bulb
Shadow of a Doubt- playing cards with the doctor
Lifeboat- in the ad for Reduco "the obesity slayer"
Spellbound- leaving the elevator smoking a cigar and carrying a violin case
Notorious- drinking champagne
The Paradine Case- on the right, smoking a cigar and carrying a cello case
Rope- walking on the sidewalk in a blue suit and holding a newspaper
Under Capricorn- 2 cameos! clip 1 in a blue suit, brown pants and top hat in the middle of the frame, clip 2 same outfit in the middle of a group of 3 people
Stage Fright- on the right turning and looking at the main character
Strangers on a Train- boarding the train with a stand up bass
I Confess- walking across the horizon
Dial M for Murder- sitting at the table in the picture
Rear Window- winding the clock in the piano player's apartment
To Catch a Thief- Sitting on the right in the bus
The Trouble With Harry- walking on the left in a trench coat
The Man Who Knew Too Much- standing the bottom left of the crowd
The Wrong Man- This cameo is different. Because The Wrong Man is based on the experiences of a real person Hitchcock wanted to approach the whole thing differently.
Vertigo- walking from left to right carrying a trumpet case
North By Northwest- failing to catch a bus
Psycho- in the window wearing a cowboy hat
The Birds- walking his real-life dogs out of the pet shop
Marnie- exiting a room on the left and looking directly at the camera
Torn Curtain- holding a small child on his knee
Topaz- sitting in a wheelchair and then standing up to shake hands with someone
Frenzy- 2 cameos! clip1: in the middle of the crowd wearing a bowler hat, clip 2 same hat in the bottom center
Family Plot- silhouette seen in in the window of Registrar of Births & Deaths

They deliberately get easier and easier with each passing film. This was done because he started to realize his audience was looking for HIM, so he started putting himself in more obvious and early appearances to get it out of the way so his audience could get back to focusing on the film, and not looking for him.

One of the easiest was one of the earliest - Blackmail. But I guess he thought no-one would know him by sight (they probably didn't, back then), so he could get away with it!

Lifeboat is my favorite Hitchcock film and I always thought I liked the way Hitch managed to work himself into that film the best, but now after watching all of his cameos together, I think Topaz is the coolest shot of them all. Thanks! 9 min 0 sec

Stan lee appearance is pretty obvious because they give some dialogue.. I can recognized him immediately.. but for Hitchcock's cameo, he just came out in very short time mostly no dialogue, sometimes just passed by or in newspaper's ad..that's funny facy actually

jegprods I think you're right and it's my biggest regret with this video. When I watched the film years ago I was going based on a list that counted the bald man walking down the street as his title comes up. Over time I've seen the true cameo (on fourth rewatch of Rope!), and I think it's obvious that my first spot was a false positive.
@KebabMusicLtd

@@wericks3 He is supposed to have made two cameos in the film, just after the opening credits walking down the street, and later as the part of the red lettering in the background to Joan Chandler and Douglas Dick.

Nicely done Will. It's nice to see a fan of his work pay tribute this. Also, not to be this guy, but there is a second pseudo-cameo in Rope. In the skyline of the city you see from the Apartment's window, there is a neon sign for Reduco, the same weight loss product from the Lifeboat ad, and its in the shape of Hitchcok's famous silhouette. It's a subtle one, happens at 55:19 of the film, but its there.

Hitchcock himself said, in 1948: "It's traditional, with me at least, that I appear fleetingly in every one of my pictures. But Rope, with a cast of only nine people who never leave the apartment, looked like the end of the Hitchcock tradition. There was just no way that I could get into the act. Then someone came up with a solution. The result? The Hitchcock countenance will appear in a neon "Reduco" sign on the side of a miniature building!"

I heard that in the movie "North By Northwest," Alfred Hitchcock made two cameo appearances:the one where he misses the bus after his credit, "Directed by ALFRED HITCHCOCK," rolls away from the screen and the one around the 44-minute mark where he appears in drag, at least that's what Wikipedia claims. Well, as far as the other one and I may be wrong, I think I may have found it. It's on the train before Cary Grant comes out from behind the door that says and I'm not making this up, "TOILET." The conductor and some other people are seen interviewing just one person before moving on and I think that that "woman" they were interviewing was Alfred Hitchcock in drag. The face looks about the same despite the makeup, the clothing, and the earrings. The "woman" stays in the scene until Cary passes "her." Also, that "woman" was the only person in that scene who ever looked up to notice him after he passes.

Well, it's not me saying it, it's just - and I'm really not trying to make a big thing of this, just accuracy - but, it's just that that's who it is. I know this legend (about the cameo) is out there, from what I can see it started with an article in the U.K. Telegraph - and they received a lot of correspondence correcting the assumption. But if you check her IMDB page you can see her credits include NXNW. -------- Original message --------
