Love the series…. But I’m gonna get hate for this. Seminole CC is over rated. Tremendous history but if you scooped it up and dropped it in the middle of Kansas… not sure it would receive the same accolades. It’s a nice beach course but….

Totally agree. Played it thirty years ago and thought they are crazy thinking this is a Top 100. It's not even a Top 100 course in Florida. Hogan practicing there doesn't make it a prominent course. The same can be said about downtrodden Colonial in Ft Worth, Texas. Hogan used to eat lunch there. It's Top 100. Insane !!!

Jerry Tarde, Executive Editor of Golf Digest, emailed me recently that Seminole is a severly overrated course and should not be in Golf Digest Greatest One Hundred Courses. We were discussing Seminole's head pro Bob Ford's comment to me that Riviera C.C. is best best course in California and Cypress Point shouldn't even be considered in the top 10 courses in California, let alone the country. Jerry responded to me that Bob's ability to judge golf couses has become warped as he has spent so much time at Seminole, he now even considers that a Top 100 Course.
