I'm a teacher under training and I literally felt what Aparna said .... It is the fault of our society that we judge children instead of understanding and motivating them. Educational Psychology says that 'education should be according to a child's need. Every child is different and unique . If he/she is unable to read properly it is the fault of the teachers, school and the system and family ,society. A child should be treated with affection.Let your child explore himself ,talk to him what he feels about himself. Open other doors and methods by which your child explores his abilities and interest . Discuss about his fears and help him to overcome them one by one!

This video is really one of the best videos I've seen in my entire life. I am truly inspired by this girl. She is so confident and by looking at her in this kind of condition I felt so bad. This girl literally proves that every person on earth must be treated equally. Despite all the hardships she had faced in her life, she never lost hope. She is a true example of a determined girl. I am a boy and I've never cried in my entire life(except in childhood), but by watching the condition of this girl, I felt emotional for the first time. Truly admired by you 'DIDI'. You are an inspiration to all the students out there who have other talents besides studies. I was also not good in my studies and today I got a hope to do something in life by watching you. I think I may not say enough words to admire you. You are a girl of inspiration. Lots of well wishes from Jaipur(Rajasthan).

Childhood trauma are tragic, it can leave you broken for the rest of your life. I've had problems with my mom when I was a kid. I didn't know that time, what was going on. After hitting maturity, I realised everything and here's my story. First of all, most of the times, your parents want the best for you but sometimes the ways to do that get toxic. So I was like 11 years old and extremely introverted. It was hard for me to make a convo work, especially with my brother. I didn't know what to talk. I've a huge age gap with my brother. I don't know when it started but I remember my mom telling me to speak, talk, laugh and in no time she got forceful. She used to yell at me for not talking like a normal person or in my world like an extroverted person. I was naturally introverted. Everyday she started saying that. I remember I was having dinner with my family and my mom started saying that how quiet I'm. I kept quiet. Then she stared calling me "gungi! bola nhi jata hai" like the convo wasn't even about me. I started crying and she kept calling me that, and poking me with her finger. I was literally having a mental breakdown. Things like this continued for 6-7 years. Until I grew up and started to become self aware. I started learning about mental health. Nobody stopped her, maybe they didn't know what was going on. I don't blame other family members. This all affected me badly. I'm so short tempered now. Being the smallest kid, nobody listened to me until I yelled or cried. My mom was very toxic back then. I'm still an introvert and I like staying quiet, she's not a bad person. She's just toxic. I'm better now. I like her ok ok now. But I can never forget this, it's something that always stays in back of my head. Now whenever she says something I get defensive. But it's fine, I guess. Things are better but I wish I could have done something for the younger me.

People told that i am lazy and i am not working hard etc but I faced the issue. And those traumas i faced in school haunts me till date. I become so angry and hurtful when those memories come to me. I don't know, it does not matter now but healing is not completed. Though i am doing things according to my wish now, still those memories ask me qns like why did i suffer in that young age, it was not necessary and all. I could only watch this video with tears in my eyes. I pray for you, may you recover fully and have an awesome life ahead.

You know what hurts me the most, is that we all could have lived a happy life if only those people around us stopped mocking us and making us feel insecure about ourselves. This hits so fucking hard that only if they were a little gentle with the kid, understood them and their issues, talked with them instead of questioning them and made us feel a little proud for ourselves for our little efforts, it would have been enough for us to get rid of depression, anxiety, adhd and what not!! It just takes few words like "I am proud of you for trying this" "I am happy that you are doing whatever you are doing" It takes such a little to make us feel confident about ourselves, and letting us know are value but all the want is 99% on that sheet of paper

I am a neurodivergent, and this hits home. My story is soo similar to yours. I used to be a brilliant child, a class topper. Then my developmental disorder hit and I lost interest in my studies. Everyone used to mock me and insult me with 'oh you are so stupid', 'why don't you study hard', ''just study, don't waste time' and whatnot. If I could have, I would be able to do it. Instead on understanding what was happening with me, they just formed their own harsh opinions and attacked me with it. Today my mother blames herself that she was not there for her children. But it's not her entire fault. Even if she was there full time for me, could she protect me from my teachers, my peers and other people's shitty actions? Could she have protected me from teachers who thought they could beat the stupid out of me? This is our society's fault that we believe and perpetuate these outdated and harmful things, still. I am really thankful that you are educating others regarding this by bringing this to light. Unless we are educated about this, many more innocent children will emerge with these traumas.

As an adult I'm struggling to get a job, but it's been easy for me to handle this situation because of my parents support. Nowadays, children are forced to study and get marks on exams. It's like they're pushed to be someone they're not, specifically they're always being compared with other kids. I wish the parents, society and teachers could understand how these kids actually feel.

Her accent, her ability to come up with what should be spoken next to make something sound interesting and entertaining, her dress sense, her lack of ego, is so on point. If you judge a fish by its ability to climb tree, it will spend its whole life thinking it was worthless. Classic Einstein's quote. You are most talented girl with beauty, your way of creating content, facing camera, love for animals, everything is awesome, as every individual is different, everyone has different qualities, if one is good at studies, the other one must be good at other skill,we can not put all people in one frame of judgment. This vlog is very good msg to all parents who force children to get higher numbers. Love from Pakistan❤

Love this video and the topic it covered. More Indian parents needs to understand this issue and so many other issues that children’s never talk about to their parents. It’s not the parent’s fault though as no one taught them parenting and they just became parents one day still growing up as human themselves and humans make mistakes unknowingly which is totally fine. Whats more important for our generation is to take these lessons from our parents mistake and learn parenting skills before actually becoming a parent and raising a child. Or learning about it and choosing not to be a parent if we know we can’t be a good one. Choosing to be a parent or remain childless should be normalised at this point I think.

Hey Aparna! I also have a lot of childhood trauma kind of similar to yours which resulted in mental health issues when I grew up. I also resented the people who said and did hurtful things to me and didn’t even own up to them. The solution to this is to focus on yourself. Your recovery and health and peace. And if this means paying little or no attention to other people, then so be it. I personally found therapy quite useful. You may also try it to solve these past issues that hurt you. And never forget that you’re grown up now, and have the power to walk away and avoid negativity and negative people. We don’t have that as a child and that’s ok. All the very best and keep posting your amazing videos. Lots of love ❤️

I have 0 friends, my teachers were like villains, and my parents had never understood what I'm into. Still in a depression situation, 0 confident, and I stuck while doing any activity. I'm still fighting to get rid of the situations.

Stress affect your mental health and mental health affect our physical health.. it's a circle. And parents should never compare their kids with others..Hey ishu i would suggest you to forgive your parents or grandparents who hurt you. You're lucky that atleast you have your mother to listen. Words can stay forever in a child's mind. For parents it must be a normal Tuesday but for us we remember date and time when they said it.

I am settled in delhi too.... can really feel your pain... coz my sister had the same problem, she was also below average student and it was my parents mistake to jump her from nurssery to class 1, she did not finish her lkg and ukg... of course they didn't know about the result of their step.... but she had a very bad time from the society and relatives and my parents never said anything to her and always supported her, thank god they were understanding, but society..... seriously to he'll with the society

I can feel u 😔.. During academic i struggle to pass But during my 11th n 12th I really worked hard n get good marks, n decided to Persued CA. N u know main reason to become CA is to inspire people that being bad at academic doesn't define your whole life. I don't know whoever is reading this please let your child find their own way bcoz they are way more capable of doing anything then you think. Don't let childhood trauma hit them whole life.

I can really feel you Dear. I was never been a student "up to the mark", always scored low, and scolded by teachers and calmly insulted by family and parents. The most annoying thing is that people always judge you according to the marks you get in exams, whereas there is a huge difference between texual reading and knowledge. The most difficult thing i faced as a child was that my parents were unable to understand the sufferings i was going through, they were never there when i needed them the most to speak for myself and to calm me down , wholeheartedly i wished to hear from them "Dear , you are no less than anyone, you can". Often my father used to say that for me he can't even talk to my friends's parents, for my low marks he used to feel shameful to join the conversation about the "intelligent students". But still i knew and i know that they love me from the core of their heart.. Coming to friends ,i really feel they were just "classmates" who don't deserve to be recognized as "friends".All of them were good score holders rather excellent score holders and so in some way or the other they made me feel so low, they criticized, made a mock out of myself, and used to flaunt their marks, ignored me, insulted me in various ways. Even teachers also play a very crucial role on this demotivating system. A true teacher always tries to elevate the level of student who is educationally downtrodden. In my case, all the teachers i have met in my life, was always so sympathetic and appreciative only for the students who scored well nd these teachers used to scold me very badly nd i was so helpless. After my 10th result came out , i witnessed my friends behaving like strangers, ignored me and there was something so bad in their behaviour i can't explain, but at that time , that particular vibe from everyone shattered me. I decided and promised myself to score well in my h.s and that was only because i wanted to see myself smiling. I wanted to make my parents proud of myself , wanted to show my friends that hey i am no less than you guys. I did as i promised. But no matter how far i travel, how far i have crawled, those things can never be erased from my mind. The visual perceptions we had as a child is embedded in our mind forever and ever. I cry hard whenever i think of those days. But above all i do believe that it's only you who can set your worth, nobody else can decide how far you can climb the stairs in your future. Best wishes for you from me(kheya). ❤

To Aunty, do not see yourself responsible for this...yes you are human and we make some mistakes only to realise it later. Also it's not you who is solely responsible because as a parent you have to have strict with your children since you are aware of the brutal and competitive world waiting for them ahead specially when one belongs to middle class family and education is the only way out. It's the people around her who had no business ,are responsible for her trauma. We all make mistakes so it's okk. ❤️ And a big fan of Gitu Ji's WOWWWWW😅

Don't be sad. My mom is having an IBS problem as well. This problem will not go permanent but yes you can improve this by making your life happy and by eating healthy food. IBS starts when you start taking stress or overthinking. I will suggest stop taking stress and try to delete your past from your mind. Start interacting with new people, try to make friends, make yourself busy with the things you love to do.
