She’s only gone to make it possible for her to wear a dress for a very special occasion in her life. How on earth is she supposed to sit at home and get her jobs done? Not all jobs can be done by staying home isn’t it. She’s not gone for a vacation or to party. I faced a similar issue when my child was born. I had no help to leave my child with and in turn I had to wear an old dress for the baptism. Absolutely no reason to be rude to her unnecessarily.
