Never forget that Jason Bourne scored a perfect headshot on a man with a pistol while free-falling past him. John Wick only wishes he had that on his shooting resume.

And John Wick fought his way through in continental hotel where multiple assailants were in bulletproof armour from head to toe but he wasn't. I can't see Jason Bourne do that. He would get killed in first few minutes. John is less likely to care about perfect shot but getting the job done and he would easily dominate Bourne.

@5aral How would Bourne be unable to do that? He's as good of a shot (despite rarely using guns) and a _better_ hand to hand combatant. I agree that I can't see Bourne doing that either, though, but it's less due to a lack of ability than a lack of necessity. Bourne avoids unnecessary fights and prefers to outmanuever people entirely. He'd find a smarter, more efficient way. Where Wick is a hammer looking for a nail, Bourne is an entire toolbox.

@hanzflackshnack1158 Because he's not a serial killer who regularly stalks people with a syringe. He's just trying to be left alone. And they'd never fight because Dexter is a serial killer who hunts serial killers, while Bourne is a fugitive from a corrupt agency who just wants peace. They have no reason to ever target one another or even meet at all. If Dexter _did_ try to go after Bourne, he'd have a hard time even finding him. Dexter's a little small-time to be going after a man who constantly evades whole intelligence agencies working together to find him. Conversely, if Bourne wanted to go after Dexter for some reason, he'd have little difficulty finding him. It's hard to even concoct a scenario where they'd fight. If we just drop them into an arena to battle, Bourne is superior physically, superior unarmed and superior armed ... so ... Basically, to give Dexter a chance, you have to create an artificial encounter where Dexter is actively stalking Bourne and has somehow located him or been given good intel about his whereabouts, presumably by one of Bourne's enemies, and Bourne is also unaware Dexter is hunting him. In that scenario, maybe Dexter can win? But he's only going to get one shot at it, because if Bourne notices him coming at all, he's done. But why would that ever even happen?

Jason Bourne is my favorite action hero. He don't need gadgets or too much money or doing things that seem impossible to defeat his opponents. He is a simple guy but very well trained. He use whatever is within his reach to win. And the most surprising thing is Matt Damon is an actor you would never expect to see playing a CIA assassin.

@@whipwalka that was the point of the camera angles matt damon isnt a great fight choreographer so they made the fight scenes where u cant really see whats exactly happening but just enough so u do at the same time to make it feel gritty and realistic

One of the better realistic fight scenes in these movies,and one of the harder people Jason had to kill..he is like 8-10 years older in this movies timeframe compared to bourne supremacy.. I like how at first he is getting choked with the cord and then flips it around on the assassin

The underground fight is by far my favourite. In terms of choreography and stunts it’s energy efficient. No wasted movement, good use of trapping techniques which is the basis for close quarter combat. The fight scene is visceral in tone. Visually atmospheric, rapid cuts but overall editing is tight. Shaky cam yes but good focus on closeups which brings us closer to the action. Well paced too it flows smoothly in execution not too short and doesn’t drag on. Brutal in exposition and violence. Rigorous in effect. Great fight scene.

The fight scenes in the Bourne movies are always so vicious. They're not fighting for glory or to prove who is the toughest, they're fighting to stay alive/kill each other. They're all so aggressive, especially the last one, that it really does look like they're trying to kill one another and not just going for a knockout.

I've noticed that too.. the first Bourne movie and fight scenes it's like the camera is a ways back so you can see all the body movements. And then all the other movies the camera is up close and shaking at times so you can't see a lot.. But.. in my opinion they are all good movies...

I don't think that's fair. John Wick is actually very lethal in CQC. He'd still get folded by Jason Bourne in most encounters (Wick's best chance would be a no-prep encounter with firearms at mid-range, where I'd say it's a toss-up), but that's less because of Wick being weak and more because of how hilariously broken Bourne is.

C'mon film fans. Jason Bourne is a lot more interesting as a character than John Wick. He's also a more realistic character that audiences can identify with. Keanu Reeves was a great action actor before John Wick, but what Matt Damon brings to Bourne is vulnerability, which makes him more human than John Wick. We suffer with Jason Bourne, but we love watching John Wick do stuff.

The first fight in this you can't see wtf is happening. They're both wearing black and the camera keeps flipping, so where a second ago it was Bourne on the left and other guy on the right, it's suddenly other guy on the left and Bourne on the right. It's frantic but poorly shot.
