Kap aint going anywhere, he's said several times he wants to stay and play in MN he likes it here and the team. The issue is contract terms, if people would actually pay attention they'd know that. Kap wants a shorter deal incase Minnesota does pan out to be a cup contender and the Wild want him on a long term deal. From what I've heard it's actually more to do with Kap's agent telling him no or dictating his decisions.

@@biggbluh This. People forget how good prime Gaborik was. During his prime 2005-2010, he was probably a top-3 goal scorer in the league with Ovechkin and Kovalchuk, and the fastest skater in the league, but missed too much time. He was also best goal scorer in the playoffs when he won Cup in 2014. He would have been a first ballot hall of famer if healthy. Shame.

Can’t even compare Kaprizov with Gaborik at this point. People seem to forget he’s a rookie. We can compare him to Gaborik when he’s scored 40+ goals and 40+ assists. Which I sure hope will be next season, but will it be for the Wild? And someone here said Zuccarello to be better than Gaborik... are you out of your mind? I love Zuccarello but damn he’s nowhere near Gaborik. And yeah if he would’ve stayed healthy Gaborik would be in the hof already. However I do still believe he will make it there at some point. At least the IIHF Hall of Fame for sure. And the Slovakian hall of fame.
