@@ragaraga7837 I don’t think that’s really it. She was worried about him taking on Ozai but the previous episode she was pretty confident Aang would win. I think she was more confused by what happened in the play, seeing how warped the world’s perception of Aang and her was. They demolished Aang’s identity of a masculine guy and Katara liking him, (Aang was played by a girl and Katara was shown to only like Jet and put Aang in the friendzone) and I think Katara was just scared of hurting Aang right before the most important battle of his life. So I think it was a complex mixture of the urgency for them to save the world with the hypnotizing bias of the play that put extra pressure on them both to figure out their relationship, and it all came to Katara by surprise. She didn’t have any time to take it in and think about it which is why she was confused. She wasn’t ready to confirm a decision yet. Plus she didn’t want to do anything that would cause Aang to lose by lowering his confidence or distracting him. If she did the wrong thing, Aang wouldn’t have been able to clear his mind and focus against Ozai the way he did. (And in the play Aang lost which must have had some effect on her) And you can see that right after Ozai was beaten and Aang completed all of his duties (controlling the Avatar State, nearly mastering all elements, saving the world) they were completely able to relax with each other because there wasn’t any stress put on them, and they finally had time to do things right and be happy. I don’t think it really had anything to do with Azula. Katara didn’t know she would fight her yet as well.
