Great. Thanks for providing the tiger grip technique. I am behind the times where I just watched the reverse grip version tonight and requested that you provide this video. I now see that you had already done so a year ago. I am a beginner and I am primarily focused now on mastering the single right handed tiger grip techniques, with some left hand work. I like the idea of simultaneously working out both hands at one time and will begin to devote a portion of my training to reflect that. Thanks for your expert instruction. God bless.

Currently working on these techniques. As I am getting more skilled I love the opportunity to work on my skills with both hands simultaneously. God bless.

I never fail to watch your videos. I love your systematic approach. I also value a lot that you often take the time to remark on the difference between the art the training, vs "actual" (knife) fighting situations. I think your videos are quite literally the best available on YT, and I hope you keep making them.

These videos are so great man. Just started thinking about two knives which led me to your channel. I need to find the video where you break down your numbering system! If you happen to see this and know what that video is titled that would be awesome. Otherwise I’ll keep looking. Definitely interested in taking one of your courses someday and I’m already hooked on practicing from your videos so I want to match your numbering in case mine don’t. Am taking notes using the numbering I learned from another video and I know they can vary.

Ok, Sir, as you told, itś the very beginning of knife fighting. What I still miss is defending against knife attack. There reverse grip should serve best, lwell let´s see what more is in stock for those nopt willing to attack but to survive knife attacks. Best regard, Paul,68, retired instructor of Karate

I feel so stupid and would like to clarify that I erroneously refered to the saber grip as the tiger grip. As I have previously said, I am a beginner and still learning not only the skills but also the lingo. Peace.

@@kalicenter the one where I go to prison for possession of a deadly weapon for an unlawful purpose. I once had a client with a unique problem, he needed to understand knife laws all over the country ( long haul truck driver). My research resulted in an unfortunate (for him) conclusion; in every jurisdiction where I investigated, the courts have deemed all fixed or locking blade knives as per see Deadly Weapons - length of blade notwithstanding. Some states codify these things into understandable laws, but most don't. And of course, the determination of whether the blade is unlawfully possessed falls squarely upon the arresting officer who on the witness stand invokes his experience and training, and the courts just defer. And, all too often, if there is a fracas and blades emerge the one on the winning end usually goes to prison. Now, you can possess the otherwise unlawful knife for a lawful purpose such as your vocation, hunting, fishing, etc. But never - ever - use self defense when explaining why you have it. The courts think that's what the police are for. Don't get me going on the police and whether they actually have a duty at law to defend you. So, anyway, there aren't many places outside of TX and FL where you are likely to use a blade in a confrontation and stand much of a chance of avoiding prison.

@@Raul28153it’s okay. It’s just a video and martial arts with fake plastic knives. Bad people in the world already know what they’re going to do with or without KZbin. This stuff is no secret. Disclaimer, don’t actually do this stuff. It’s just a martial arts drill. I wish you all the best. 👍🏼🙏🏼

@@Raul28153 So I guess if I ever get involved in a confrontation that I fail to 1. avoid, 2. de-escalate, 3. have cops immediately there to take care of it, but I happen to carry a fixed blade, I'll just let the aggressor beat me up or perhaps kill me. Just in case.

It’s a beginner drill that focuses on one knife at a time. This is not a double knife drill or a fighting drill as I mentioned in the video. How do you not comprehend the focus of this drill when I clearly stated it? My gosh, some people!!! 👎🏻

@@kalicenter Don't give me these cheap excuses. First of all, I have seen many of your videos and everywhere the same nonsense. And with completely different partners at different levels. Secondly. With this kind of training beginners then for years they can not get rid of such defective technique. Thirdly, this nonsense is inherent in your tukhon all over the place - Tortal, Wade, Marcaida, etc. These are Kali's systemic mistakes and nothing more.

@@kalicenter One German police instructor gave the example that even when knocking out a knife from a partner in training one should not pick up his knife and give it to his partner ..... because even such a seemingly harmless action develops an unnecessary habit and almost resulted in the death of a police officer in real life.
