Removing the option to turn battle effects off was a mistake anyway, since that's why cutscenes are bit of a downgrade from SwSh.

The only one I can remember that doesn't was Regigias' Crush Grip. I was so disappointed that time because I was excited to see Regigas grab my opponent and crush it. haha

Maybe OP suggestion, but hear me out 👀 what if Lunar Dance not only does it kill Cresselia but the pokemon that swaps in it heals according to % of health Cresselia had left and removes statuses, it gives a 1.5x boost to all stats 👀 but Cresselia will move last when using this move

I feel like fire blast would’ve been better on Moltres as it would match the Base power of all the others. You can argue eruption being a “signature move” for Groudon. Also, so many of the animations are a massive downgrade since the last gens.

I guess they include too many pokemon. I could see the quality improvement happening IF pokemon company stopped adding pokemon to their new game. if they stop now and focus on existing pokemon for 10 years ahead we would get the best quality pokemon games ever. it’s just sad seeing mario and zelda keeping up with modern specs without sacrificing quality, meanwhile pokemon game just went downhill with their bugs, lessening quality, and didn’t stick to their core value

That's not the problem. They work on a game for 3 years, which games like this need a couple more years to polish. They used to include every single Pokemon in the 3DS era and quality never really hampered, but it declined when they stopped bringing them back.

Some moves got better, others got worse, like they got real lazy in this game and it’s super sad. Edit: sword and shield have amazing move animations, and I really prefer the old style of battling instead of the open battle we have. For a game like arceus yeah sure, but these games? Nah, I’m good.

Ok its been said, but Overheat, thunder, Blizzard, heavy slam, water spout, stone edge, sacred Sword and the like are not signture moves, you can just say none, some just dont have it, hell, you kept out mew, and mews whole thing is being able to learn every move some older gen Pokemon just dont get them
