6:47 Having two of these, I have found that it is not due to a lack of a cape as to why the cowl goes down all the way. For whatever reason with this figures particular cowl goes down further than a normal Batman cowl and having watched Brickqueen, Brick Show, and this review have concluded that it is an issue with the stand alone figure.

Thought I'd mention it in case nobody else did, the Blue batman figure from 2012 did not feature the type 2 cowl in it's first few sets. Instead, it used the old cowl, or type 1. The type 2 did not come out until 2013 with the release of The Dark Knight Rises, which the mask is visibly based off.

If anyone ever wants to make a custom first appearance batman, all you need is the BEWARE THE BATMAN style minifig(from the riddler racer set) and get the punching gloves from raging bat minifig! You can always just give him purple gloves but the purple boxing gloves looks cooler less cheesy

Daniel Taylor I've got to agree with you. They really don't do the character justice, giving him an angry cowl. Lego's so inconsistent when it comes to who they decide to make custom masks for that show normal minifigure eyes and those that have masks with white eyes. e.g. Any Batgirl, The Flash, Killer Moth, '66 Catwoman, as opposed to '66 Batman, '66 Robin, '66 Riddler.

If you notice in the LEGO movie all the main characters have new hair pieces, in the LEGO Batman movie it introduces the new belt piece and in the LEGO ninjago movie they all have new ninja helmets

If you look at the instructions carefully on the blind pack... you will find that on glam rock batman the cape goes above the silver shoulder piece. The way you have it squishes the cape down in a kind of awkward way.
