I prefer to build solo, but when my kids want to help, I don't turn them away. Our version of building together is me finding the pieces for each step and the kids assembling them. I sometimes get subassemblies started for them if I can. I enjoy that because it's easier to find pieces without worrying where they go and the kids can build without having to spend so much time looking for the right pieces.

I normally build solo, however, as this had two books which allowed for completely separate building, my partner and I built this wonderful set together and it was an enjoyable experience watching each other's parts come together.

This is a "must-buy". Unfortunately, the scale doesn't quite fit the Lego Ideas Treehouse. This is just my minor gripe of this set.

Yeah, you're spot on. That's one thing I find frustrating about LEGO sometimes-they use too many different scales, and it can make sets look inconsistent when displayed together.
