Just got my hands on the Master Builder Cantina and I have to say it might be my all time favorite set that I own. It's huge, the instruction manual has detailed descriptions of every tiny bit. Such an amazing set.

To be honest, I would have actually preferred the newer one to come with a docking bay with a Midi-scale Millennium Falcon instead of the Jawa shop but nevertheless, it’s cool anyways. Best Han Solo: 2018/2020 Best Greedo: 2004 Best Luke: 2020 Best Obi Wan: 2020 Best Bith Band Members: 2014/2020 Best Wuher: 2018/2020 Rest of the Cantina characters: 2020. Clear winner here, but sorta not comparable since its a Master Builder Series set compared to normal Playsets.

I love the new cantina and I can’t wait to get it, but honestly, with all the ones before the new one, I think the 2018 one is my favorite. I just have good memories with this one. I remember that it was just about to retire and I picked up the last one at target. I love the play feature of being able to knock Han and Greedo out of the chairs, I love the balance of the simplistic style/size, yet modern and detailed aspect of it. I just love it and I can’t wait to pick up the new one.

I love Building sets for legos, I like things like the cantinas, houses, etc. I totally understand why we don't get these kinds of sets often because let's be real here, people want the Advanced Tie Fighter, not the Padme's family house where she takes Anakin and they have dinner. But I just love having these kinds of things to have my minifigs kinda hang out in, so the Master Builder Cantina was a DREAM COME TRUE for me

I'm with you on that one. Having a huge vehicle is nice, but sets where you get that really populated Star Wars feel are great. The side buildings on the 2020 set were such an amazing surprise with how alive they felt. I loved all the little details all over them to make them feel lived in.

Mando went to the Mos Eisley Cantina in _The Mandalorian,_ found a droid tending bar (voiced by Hamill?) and met Toro Calican. Not a very lively place, but maybe one could do something for that scene if you've got EV-9D9 from Jabba's Palace (2003).

I got the 2020 version for Father's Day and I love it. One note, the reason the disks were originally clear on the Ubrikkian 9,000 pod is because they are windows. In the movie they look black because there is no light in the pod. So maybe both are accurate? Also the doors moving to the side is more accurate, but they explain in the manual for the 2020 set that they made them vertical for space reasons.

I often think of having a cantina that is more larger (similar to the 2020 set, which I finally now own and built) that can have more background figures. Because the 2020 set is big enough albeit with three booths, per each side, I made attempts to use other non-star wars figures to fill in those gaps, such as the LEGO Minifigures Werewolf and Alien, a classic black space man and an Atlantis Manta Warrior, with more figures to come.

I'm calling it now, we will have a Master Builder's Endor Base in 2022. 1. Lego has been making these Master Builder's sets every other Fall now and both of them have been from the original trilogy. Return of the Jedi is the only OT film that's missing a Master Builder's set. 2. 2023 will be the 40th anniversary of that movie, so what would be a better way to get in the anniversary mood than releasing a set like that right before it? 3. By then it will have been over 10 years since we saw an Endor base in Lego. 4. That scene is just perfect for a Master Builder's concept. I'm expecting to see the large beacon, play function where you can smash an AT-ST with tree trunks and a ton of updated Ewok and Endor minifigures.

I'm biased. I grew up with the 2004 series sets, and those will always be my favorite! Good Times! Also, I took two of those 2004 cantinas and turned them into a single building, made it feel a bit more spacious.
