Both of Rex/Pyra/Nia's (particularly their second one) specials and Rex/Pneuma's are my favorites. There's just something about the way they're animated and I love how Rex dual wields in the former's case.

Love how each driver got their own intro scene and battle music, and then XC1 and XCX each had their own segments even if the latter only had one blade. After finishing the blades from the main game, I couldn't help but think that one was missing. Felt so good to see her saved for the very end. That said, I somehow forgot the absolute last one somehow despite being the True Ultimate. I'm sad that one of Nia's combination specials is so much lamer than the other because it's the only one I ended up seeing because I ain't got time to switch to Pyra!

A fun thing to note about blade designs in this game is that all the common and rare blades have visible ether lines, while legendary blades almost all have invisible ones (Poppi and Aegaeon being exceptions). This means that level 3 and 4 specials are the only place you can see the placement of most of the main blade characters' ether lines. Additionally, none of the blade characters in Torna ever have visible ether lines during specials, which is interesting lore-wise. I guess it is generally agreed that the modern blade-driver fighting style is stronger, maybe it's to do with that.

Ok i didn’t know that nia has 3 specials in blade form. How do you use the other two?

The first one of course you just have to have Nia as a Blade and use her level 4 The other two, you need to have Pyra engaged at the same time as Nia and have them *both* at Max Affinity during the battle. It's different depending on if you use Pyra's or Nia's level 4.

its pretty easy to miss that you can do this as the game only mentions it after the amalthus fight and if you continue through the door without back tracking the next segment removes both from your party for a few fights during the illusion segment so its easy to forget its a thing

I diddnt know the main blades(brighid Dromach pandoria)had unique level 4s with rex since I mostly kept them on them the others while I used pyra/mythra azami and nia I diddnt know the team level 4 is different if you activate it on pyra

Completely disagree, Rex perfectly fits the role he was meant for in the game. He's a optimistic young kid, who doesn't see the world as nihilistically as everyone else around him. It fits the story really well. His outfit is also just really unique, it tells you a lot about the world he comes from and what he does for ta living. He could have just as easily had a generic anime protagonist outfit, but I think this helps him to stand out even if it is a little goofy.

No matter what you say. His outfit is pure garbage. Even the one Pneuma kits him in. No melee fighter in any situation would fight with head cauldron hanging from their neck. XBC2 was the most "anime" out of all of them.
