That and, seeing as Xbox lent out Banjo and Kazooie, another dead franchise, to Smash, and has no issues letting other games use their IP, it's always possible. They were even up for letting Bungie use Halo for an event in Destiny despite the rough relationship between them. They're fairly open with their IPs.

Mortal Kombat guest characters are not much of a collab it's a crossover. the guest character gets an ending after you beat the arcade (Towers). In the ending the guest character interacts with the MK characters and the MK universe making it a crossover but non canon tho. I'm glad to see Ghostface joining the horror ip MK fight club with Bubba (leatherface),Feddy,Jason,Xenomorph,Predator,Spawn. hopefully we get Michael Myers for MK someday. And maybe Frank Stone,Trapper,Doctor,Huntress,Blight for Mortal Kombat as guest fighters.

Doctor Who is such a sleeper IP. Like, yes it's a kids show, but it has a massive adult audience and is known for scaring people. Plus, like, think about it for five seconds and tell me you don't have a killer concept in your mind. They have the WEEPING ANGELS. How many people have asked for a Weeping Angel-esque killer. Well there is your chance to have the OG. Also, Siren Head would be awesome.

As much as I'd love Doctor Who, I can't imagine a Weeping Angel working well for the killer, unless they have a blinking mechanic forced on survivors during trials against them, which I'm all for. Something like what they used in SCP Containment Breech, if youve ever played that. Daleks are another that instantly come to mind, but being able to shoot survivors with lasers seems a little too strong lol. Have to go with something more grounded by still fitting of the series, like a Cyberman, or even the "are you my mommy?" gas mask zombies.

I know it's a lot, but both Indoraptor AND Velociraptors can have a place in this game, both with their own mechanics. Large creature doing stealth with powerful attacks vs smaller, stealthier with more searching powers and maybe a unique lunge with lil raptors

Worth noting that for every property you select, the survey asks you whether that property is better served as a chapter or as a cosmetic… which means the data they collect on characters like Sidney and Hannibal may guide how they’re implemented. Also, don’t sleep on The Thing. Other than Jason, that property is my highest priority. I will p100 RJ MacReady overnight.

For franchises that arent on the list but I think could be really interesting additions. Doctor Who has a huge gallery of interesting alien killers (Daleks, Weeping Angels, Cybermen) could all be interesting additions Supernatural would be really cool to see as Sam/Dean Surivor only chapter (unless they wanted to add Lucifer as the killer) Then a purely cosmetic pack could be a Clue where they pick 6 of the survivors to get costumes that dress them up as the characters (Scarlet, mustard plum)

Kind of crazy that Jurassic Park is listed, but Jaws isn't. The reason I bring up Jurassic Park and Jaws specifically is because they are in my top 3 of most anticipated franchises I want to see added to DBD. If either of them were going to be added, I would have expected Jaws to get added first, but I'm surprised to see it not even listed. Before Xenomorph came out, I didn't think they could make it work, but with the release of both Xenomorph and Chucky, I think you could definitely make a Jaws chapter/killer paragraph work. Third person killer where the shark is mostly underwater (you're basically playing in third person as the fin when moving) and the tunnels Xenomorph brought in made me realize you could have some sort of "Dive" traversal mechanic. Would definitely be hard to implement, but not impossible, and I think there are several ways to bring Jaws in (that I've also concepted myself), so very surprised to not see it listed at all.

I think Jaws would be a bit to complicated to add, having something like a velociraptor or the indoraptor would be much easier to add then a literal 25+ foot shark. I would definitely like it but I think it’s just too much work for consideration.

@@DTurner136 With enough creativity you could absolutely make it work. The two ideas I had thought about was that you create a moving puddle around the shark's fin, roughly the size of the shark, so that the water is actually where the shark is specifically and it's never "out" of the water, it's more like it's manifesting the water. That would be the easier way to code it and would actually be less strain on the engine. The harder way would be to have water be part of the map as an overlay/extra layer of the map, like how Xeno has her tunnels. The water level would get higher or lower depending on the actual mechanic of the power. It would not be as hard as it seems with the right idea.

@@DTurner136 except they literally could. The entity bends the rules a lot. Make Bruce a ghost shark resurrected by the entity. Flood the map in ankle deep water. Give him the ability to submerge. Have the entity help pick up survivors. The water could act as fog or an overlay to the terrain. For higher elevations if submerged they could use the puddle solution of making a pool of water around the fin.

Maybe not a Deathclaw because it would simply be too big and it could probably not move as good on the different Maps, I think a Supermutant or maybe even one of the Scorched would be good, an Assaultron could also work pretty good or (even better) a Version of the Mechanist, which could control Robots such as an Assaultron or one of the custom made Robots by the Mechanist. Maybe a Raider with a Raider-Power Armor could also work. With the Survivor, they could do something similar like with the Bard which came with the DnD Chapter (I mean, that they could transfer the Customize Feature of the Characters in the Games to the Cosmetics, so everyone could customize their own Survivor, maybe even more than with the DnD Chapter).

What about a Smile Chapter? Since Smile 2 is coming out next Year, there could be more Possibilities. Also, something that is entirely new: what about a Star Wars Chapter? There are some pretty scary Things, that exist in the Star Wars Universe and they have a huge collection of possible Killers (like a Sith for example?) and of course a huge collection of potential survivors. Of course the Franchise is more focused on Younger People with its Theme, but there are books, that cover the Theme of Zombies in the Star Wars Universe. It wouldn‘t be my Dream License, but it could be interesting.

Out of all these, I personally would really like the lipstick face demon from insidious to be a killer in DBD, maybe some sort of possession passive mechanic, and maybe something similar to Freddy’s phones and sadakos tvs, with red doors scattered throughout maps.

I think the Grudge is definitely the March killer. She wasn’t on the satisfaction surgery and at one point they asked which features we’d be most interested in seeing in the game and one of them was: “More animations/actions in the core game (e.g., jumping, crawling, climbing)”
