@@havoxxr4927as a man you should be able to do 30 pushups in 40 seconds the hardest part of this is the 1.5 mile run but that’s still easy as hell you can run at a 10 min/mile pace and still finish I think we should make the requirements more strict

Didn’t realize how out of shape people were until I joined the military at 18. Those standards are ridiculously low, but it’s the biggest reason people can’t get through bootcamp.

3 miles between 18 to 28 minutes. You have to knock out however, many push-ups and crunches within two minutes. You have to pass with at least 40 crunches I believe.

​@@wincentfritz Honestly if you are pretty fit it wont even take you 1 sec per push up. Someone that can do 50+ push ups can easily do 30 in under 30 seconds. I remember there was even a trend in the fitness youtuber world where they would try there max push ups in 30 sec and most of them got 55+

I’m a freshman and can probably do this at some point. Not strong at all but ran 2 miles in 16 minutes so could maybe cut it down a little bit. Also get consistent 30’s on push-ups and I just need to work on sit-ups really. Obviously I can’t do it now and it’s harder than it seems but the point is that it’s possible

The Army fitness test requires more. I was once in the Army, and that is also my personal standard. I’m 37 and still hold myself accountable to the Army standards for an 18 year old.

in my country it’s mandatory for every man to serve, i made a promise to my grandfather that he would see me as special forces soldier, he passed before that. soon after i tore my ACL and meniscus 7 months before i enlist, gained 40 kilos and was about to go to the special needs branch. i pushed through everything, fixed my leg, lost the weight, got stronger and in 3 months i’ll officially be in the special forces, everyone can do it you just need to want it

Reminder: General fitness is being able to live a regular life without pain or issues. You do not need to be completely jacked to be happy. As long as you aren’t very unhealthy, you’re fine.

@@Milo-Mike I can already do pushups and situps test (know because we did a similar test for school phys Ed), and I'm close to being able to complete the running test (I don't even run). Assuming you do your weekly cardio and lift, even if just casually, you should be able to pass this test with ease as a grown man.

Im Air Force now, max push ups in 1 min is 58, max sit ups is 67 in 1 min, max 1.5 mile run is 9:30. I’ve got max pushups and sit ups but my run is about 11:15, working on it.

Navy here if you wanna join the Navy at 18 if your a male you gotta run a 1.5 mile run in 12:15 seconds do at least 45 push ups in 2 minutes and hold a plank for a 1:35 to get a satisfactory medium which is required to graduate boot camp

In brazil for best on military test is, 3.200km in 12 minutes, 44 pushups, 80 abs, and 12 or 14 pull ups.

No you dont want to exceed; because then you wont get any work done. you will get voluntold to every look good detail under the sun and still be expected to get your regular work done. Be as strong as you want but make sure you arent #1 on the tests at your regular unit. Saw it happen to my buddies. They were miserable until they figured that out.

Air Force physical is a joke. I was a high school wrestler and did 2 miles run, 100 push, 100 sit-ups and 50 pull-ups all as warmup to the wrestling. Also did some gymnastics during the wrestling’s off season. My level of fitness was always in to 10 percentile all because the base I built as a teenager.

I was in top 10 in all 3 categories when i went to navy basic training. My division had 83 people. Mile and half time was 11:20, push ups 75, sit ups 85 🫡🍻 Great job man, keep training hard. Always aim for the top 🤝💪🏻

Absolutely, everyone should, Its kinda sad that people wont do 1 pushup in their lifetime unless they are forced to for a sport or gym class. But more and more kids are getting into lifting after its basically become a trend to do a transformation its still not enough as it should be tho.

I’m still in the “300 club” on apft status in my 40s maxing and relaxing, and because I run fucking hills, I’m permanent party on that “A Train” aka alpha running group speed. I train also with kettlebells, plate carriers (actual tac vest) and dumb bells in addition to my calisthenics. Stay lethal brother. 💯👑

What i did for my army's phyisical bar exam, is 1.9 miles in under 13 mins, 10 pullups with full gear, 10 triangles with full grear, 70 abs in under a mimute and 10 squats with 40% extra body weight, in addition to that we have to go through an obstacle course with full gear on in less then 11 mins but but the obstacle course isnt right after everything else

The mile and a half is definitely do able, but with perfect form that amount of sit-ups and push-ups together in a minute is crazy. Unless you mean separately of course, if so then yeah this is relatively easy.

It’s crazy. I’m in the Air Force. At my current base they actually offer 3 days off for free if you get 100% on the PT test. 2 days for 95%. 1 day if you hit 90%. A score of 75% to 89% is still passing but you need to retest in six months. 90 and above won’t have to worry about another pt test for a year. No incentives for the 70-89. Always aim for excellence!

I agree I was obese when i got rejected from Army Reserves when I was a fresher at Uni. I was angry, lost 20kg in 3 months reapplied next year. 3 years later im going for the Physical training instructors course.
