The steelers had such a good offense when they had a very good trio of wide receivers, which they had multiple times with how good they are are drafting wide receivers. Certain athletes look different when they play. Bryant looks different when he runs - he makes elite athletes look slow. He had every "it" you would want in a WR1 in today's game - height, speed, hands, the ability to get open against press coverage, toughness. Except the desire to make it happen over a long period of time in the face of whatever causes him to turn to weed. I'm not disappointed in Martavis - every man has the chance to make those decisions for themselves. I just wish - as a Steeler fan - he could have figured it out because this is one of the biggest athletic freaks we've seen. He's Moss level.

@@ebutzek1 The run against Arizona. That's all you need to see as a fan - he ran away from Patrick Peterson and every other DB like they were standing still. He's going to tell his grandkids he made bad decisions...or, let me rephrase - he's going to tell his grandkids it could have been different because I hope he ends up happy in the end. He's still not 30...he could have a couple of league years left but I think that has flown the coop.

That kind of overall ability is something I really haven't seen in one package since he was in the league... 4.3 speed, great height, great hands, great jump ball, amazing elusiveness and shiftiness for someone his height, insane YAC ability and just running with the ball in his hands in general (they used to give him some rushes and jet sweeps in most games)... what an unbelievable talent, and what a shame that he squandered all of it cause he couldn't stop smoking weed during season
