I've played first person shooters before, but never an online hero shooter like this. Thankfully, you can learn the characters by playing as a team against the computer. There's also a practice range as well.

Wolverine makes more sense as of Vanguard character for me. I’ve been playing him a shit ton, and I like his abilities I think they suit him well but I think he just needs a tweak with his healing factor, base health, And Claw damage

@Howdypartnerlol shit actually does damage, the abilities are unique and thematic for their respective character (they don't seem afraid to make characters ridiculous and not just give them utility projectiles), and the art style is gorgeous. The most boring characters to me look like Mantis and Punisher and that should say something since they both look exactly as I'd hope they would (minus Punisher's jacket of course). Frankly, yeah OW bored me since the "advent" of OW2 when they seemed to stop caring enough to give players things to look forward to that didn't entail harvesting our pocket change.

​@@Howdypartnerlol A lot of OW players have migrated to Rivals. OW is dying, as it should be, ever since they promised a lot and delivered worse than nothing. Even if Rivals does die in a month or two, which I doubt, the OW crowd will likely find somewhere else to migrate to.

@captnblackmarrow The most important thing I've found is knowing when to use your abilities because when Thor Force is drained you get bonus health. I'll throw Mjolnir and then use the lunging attack to get close. That'll grant you 200 bonus health. Then I use the forcefield (try to get as many enemies in that forcefield as you can because it also does damage) and basic attack a couple times then you should have enough Thor Force to enter the awakened state again which will also grant you 300 bonus health and you'll be doing more damage in the awakened state. I use this approach a lot and at the very least your opponent will be backing off, if not getting ko'd. Assuming you have a good healer behind you to and cycling that tactic you'll be cycling heavy damage and bonus health. I've been having alo5 of luck with that tactic and been keeping my teams in the fight even when there are a couple teammates ko'd.

And try to stay by your team as much as possible. A big part of playing Thor is having support with you.

He isn't an up front tank, attack from a flank onto their supports or to peel for your supports. Use his e ability immediately when you engage on someone. Disengage when your health is threatened and get back to your supports then rinse repeat. Your dash has 360 mobility, use it to take high ground and set up there for your dives. @captnblackmarrow

I hate when I hop in a game as a casual solo player and forced to play with randoms, and my entire team just chooses duelist characters. And when I ask for a healer, nothing happens. I have to watch as my kill hungry team get shredding one after another until eventually I get hanged up on by the other team who actually has a team comp. I’m not good at competitive games like this, so when I know we lost, I just accept the lost.

You need at least 2 Strategists (Healers) in your team, or you're going to lose a good 90% of the time. 3 Strategists with 2 Vanguard and 1 Duelist can also be pretty solid. But gaslighting someone about this that they're just "being close-minded about other play styles" is wild. That's not at all what this is. It's other people being killhungry and all spamming the same class. You wouldn't play chess with only pawns on your side, would you?

Magik’s ult feels very weak and actually a downgrade to her normal form. Unlike other boost ults, you don’t get extra health, you attack way slower and you lose the ability to combo your slashes and abilities to deal insane burst damage
