@@Sebs.garage_ You know, you're 100% right. That 08 Fit was totalled in 2012(I wasn't at fault) and since then I had a Cooper S, 2 Porsches, 2 AMG's, 3 BMW M's and an RS. As the cars got faster, my commute also got longer and the traffic worse. Usually not exceeding 50mph in bumper to bumper traffic. They're nice cars to be in but leaves something to be desired when you can't drive-drive them.

Awesome Video Man! Have you ever checked your 0-60 times? I am just curious because I just got a 2008 Fit and its way slower then my 2012. So I am trying to get more low end torque from 2008. From what I gathered in your video you would reccomend these things to get the best performance. 4-2-1 Exhaust Flashpro Plugs Tune You think those things will get me better 0-60 speeds?
@Sebs.garage_
@Sebs.garage_ 3 ай бұрын
@@gregburnley 0-60 is approximately two to three business days Jokes aside, I don't think the car is really all that much faster down low with my particular setup and I also don't think low end torque is really where these small engines shine. Where I do notice a big difference is top end and highway speeds, I can actually keep up with traffic without issue and have more oomph to make passes without trouble. The throttle response from the tune will also make it so that the small amount of power these make is on tap a lot sooner, which is really helpful.
@gregburnley
@gregburnley 3 ай бұрын
Hey man! Thanks for the speedy reply! do you still have the fit? Is there anyway at all You could do a 0 to 60 run for me? I know they have an app you can test it on. I would also like to see a fog light related video, but possibly something related to the GE and getting the '12-14 fogs to work on the '9-11 since the brackets are different. I mention this because I bought the Morimoto LED fog lights which only work for the '12 and up Sport. What happens when you lower the car by more than an inch (25mm) the front roll centre goes really wrong. Fitting extended lower ball joints puts the lower arm and roll centre back in the right place. I found it reduced the understeer radically.

Sick set up Sebastian, FB friend here, new subscribed to YT as well. Definitely interested in a video on the 8th gen fog lamps. I can't wait to paint my J's Grill & put that on my GD. And, I need to order another dead pedal for other GD, it just feels weird going from one Fit with to one without it. And yes, your CDV kit is a definite must. And as long as it's a GD when you do the clutch put in a lightweight flywheel. Do not do the light flywheel on the GE +, my GE goes into limp mode showing 5 misfire codes since the install (you had asked what was going on with my GE on I think it was the Modified Honda Fit group & I didn't respond back, but basically that's what I've narrowed it down to, the flywheel) .
@Sebs.garage_

I've got the whole kit with the larger clutch disk and proprietary lightweight flywheel from Clutchmasters. GE's will set a CEL without the stock flywheel, I'm pretty sure it's a well documented occurrence.

How’s the mpg after all the mods and tune?
@Sebs.garage_
@Sebs.garage_ 10 ай бұрын
Honestly pretty good. I used to see about 32mpg with the kind of driving I do, and am seeing about 30mpg now. It's a lot better when on the highway on a longer trip. I can't say for sure if it's due to the mods and tune or just because I've been using RT660s instead of the Continental Extreme Contact Sports I was running before, but there's a small difference. The car feels a lot happier at highway speeds and it's easier to merge and get out of my own way now, which is very nice and something people complain about a lot with these cars.

Not sure what you mean by "today's standards" It's an efficient, low emissions, yet mechanically simple engine that is made to last and examples are often seen in the 300k+ mile range. Manufacturers have also gotten away from practical hatchbacks like this in the US market in favor of CUV/SUV counterparts. There's a 4th generation Honda Fit that is available in the world market but isn't sold in the states because the HR-V took its place.
