i've forgotten who i am, my personality, what makes me me. i lost someone that i hold close to my heart, my best friend who's stopped me from doing so much stupid shit, i wouldn't be here right now typing up this comment if it wasnt for him. he's helped me realize who i am, my sexuality in a society that doesn't appreciate our group with open arms, but rather discriminate them. i see him everyday, hell, i sit next to him in 2 classes and it fucking aches my heart, everytime i just remember the past with him, our relationship that *i* ruined, it's all my fault and i acknowledge that and hate myself for that. if only i could go back to the past and change things, i would in a heartbeat, no matter the cost. he's happy now, he's with his boyfriend (online) and they talk and enjoy life together. i'm happy for him. i want to tell him how sorry i am but he seems like he doesnt care, i don't take goodbyes very well because im so used to people staying but the more that i got comfortable to it the more i took it for granted. i just want him to listen to what i have to say but im afraid that won't ever come, at least not any time soon. 1 week and 6 days ago i cut, and i panicked and messaged one of my friends, who messaged my ex-best friend. let's call him george. george messaged me telling me to stop cutting and i instantly dropped it. i didn't want to let him down, im not in love with him but im in love with what we had, our relationship. there was a major argument that happened on december of last year which shook things for us and our relationship, ever since we've been super awkward (while george and i were still friends) and eventually toxicity built up. april 2nd of 2019 is when the major fight happened, the trigger for the argument wasn't major at all, hell, it was just stripes in my name that i took from him because i was jealous of him and tried to copy him, (which i'll tell you more about in a bit) and he messaged me telling me to remove em and i told him that i really like it and want to keep it. he insisted that i should remove it and i wonder if i did remove it would all of this happen? anyways, so many toxic words were sent back and forth, insulting each other and spilling out all of the toxicity held in between us. fast forward 3 weeks, my sister messaged him because she noticed that there was something odd between me and george, shes used to us being close ( we would go out of town secretly every now and then ) and he said that he isnt sure that we can be friends again after all of the toxicity that was built up, but oddly enough a week ago we took a photo. together, with 2 other friends which threw me off. he invited me to take a photo and WE TALKED. we talked face-to-face and had conversations. going back to why i was jealous of george, i had this crush on a guy online that we met through a mutual friend, we met back in 2018 but the crush (lets call him jason) and i didn't have that much of a meaningful relationship. (keep in mind george was single at this time) george and jason got pretty close, jason was in a relationship with his girlfriend and was cheating on his gf with george, i was pretty jealous of that because at the time, i didn't mind being cheated on by jason as long as he was with me and was there for me at night (which i find super fucking stupid now). so then, i decided that if i copy george jason would eventually like me, and we'd be together. this is where i started copying george and george didn't like this. april has been a bittersweet month, nothing is ever black or white, there's always common ground. sure i lost my friends, but i've gained myself. i'm starting to love myself bit by bit, feeling comfortable in my own skin, loving qualities about me that make me who i am. i do not regret that george and i fought, but i regret what i said. i regret how i acted and treated others, which is COMPLETELY unfair. even though im just 15, i feel like i've matured so much in this past month that i'm starting to feel a bit older if that makes sense (kinda sounds cringy but w/e) if george is reading this, and he'll know who he is, i'm sorry. i would fucking love a second shot on what we had, rebuilding our friendship again and making it better than ever. i wont keep my hopes up because you've forgiven me endless of times, but know this: you've always had a special place in my heart and im sure you have a special place in so many other people's hearts, thats why you're so loved. i look up to you honestly, you've rubbed off on me in such a positive way i can't even fathom it. thank you for all of the memories, good and bad, thank you for the amazing experiences you've given me in this world, honestly, i don't know where i would be rn if i didnt sit at the lunch table 3 years ago. thank you.
