A Super cover Ian, I don't bother much with alternative tunings, but now I might look into that, I even had to Look up who Keb Mo is (shame), not that well known this side of the water, another nugget in my musical education..

Thanks Colm, alternative tunings are brilliant, there are some really weird but beautiful ones, like on my Solid Air cover from years ago, I was SO glad I found that tuning. Drop D is of course the simplest one, and what I like about that is the droning bass, I think it really adds something. Talk to you soon.

Hi Ian! I stumbled over your channel as I was looking for Paul Thorn covers. Not only did I discover a PT song I'd never heard before, but also a great singer (you) who's doing what I call "One Man One Guitar" - which is what I do too. You're getting a great sound, of course mostly due to your talent, but may I ask what your recording setup is and what processing you add? (eq , delay, compression settings etc.) I subscribed to your channel and hope to hear more from you in the future. Thanks.

Hi Steve, thanks for the kind words. I have a Behringer B-2 Pro mic for vocals, a pair of Behringer C-2s in XY for the guitar. THe mics are plugged into a Steinberg UR44, and I use cuBase LE on my Mac for audio processing. I really don't put much on, I think I just have some reverb and perhaps come compression. I don't use cUbase enough to know what I'm doing, so I try and keep it as simple as possible. Hope this helps.
