Every Movie Dinosaur Viable for the Hammond Collection (as of June 2024)

Fun fact there are two dinosaurs so obscure in the franchise that I bet that most Jurassic Park enthusiasts don’t even know about them, and they both appeared in fallen kingdom. These mysterious dinosaurs are Teratophoneus (a tyrannosaurid) and Peloprites (a Nodosaurid) however they both appeared as brunt dead corpses. But if Mattel can make up a design for Metriocanthosaurus (who only appeared as an Embryo) than they can create designs for these forgotten creatures.

One Jurassic Park based dinosaur that would look really good as a Hammond Collection figure is the Troodon from Telltale’s JP: The Game.

The Allosaurus in Chaos Theory is the one we see in Battle at Big Rock, for 3 frames you can see the left eye is whited out like the one in Chaos Theory.

One way they could get away with the Chameleon Carnotsurus from The Lost World novel is if they released it to being based on the Sega arcade game. Although the newest green Carno from Chaos Theory could easily be considered for both a HC figure and/or an Epic Evolution Wild Roar figure.

When Mattel decides to make figurines of the species from Camp Cretaceous & Chaos Theory, it be interesting to see if they can do the smilodon/sabertooth tiger. I’d like to see more of that species in figurine form & in the franchise, plus they should also do figurines of the nothosaurus & a deinosochus.

I do have an idea on how Mattel could do small species like Moros, Oviraptor, Compsognathus, Lystrosaurus, and Microceratus in the Hammond Collection line. Bare with me here on this. I feel like it would be hard to incorporate articulation joints to a small dinosaur. I don't want to run into the problem the Compy's had in the Amber Collection line. Those were not very good lol. However, Mattel could have these specific small species without any articulation. Much like the small hatchling dinosaurs the old Kenner figures came with as well as some of the 93 Classic figures, Mattel could have these small dinosaurs a solid piece of plastic with no movable joints. But since it's Hammond Collection, Mattel would put a bit more detail into the sculpt and paint into them. I personally feel like this would work because they would stay true to the actual sizes from the films. Now I wouldn't want these non-articulated figures to be posed in dramatic and permanent ways, but more neutral where they can stand and look good wherever you put them for either play, display, or photography.

Its funny that you say there are like a billion people in the world when youre talking about Sinoceratops. There are closer to 8 billion, but you know where there are a billion people? China, where the Sinoceratops was found. Its the only ceratopsian currently found in Asia. I have a feeling Sinoceratops and any of the other dinosaurs found in Asia, and particularly in China, would be very important ones to get into the collection so they act like a gateway to Chinese buyers.

The only reason why the Jurassic World Pteranodon has a small crest is because male Pteranodons have a larger size and crest whole the females are a smaller size with a small crest.

It would actually be possible to have an elephant Hammond Collection figure as it is mentioned by Claire in Jurassic World. This could actually happen based on the fact that metriacanthosaurus and concavenator are both there without any actual screentime as a living creature.

Did they actually retcon Echo's design ? Camp Cretaceous don't count cuz' Echo's color scheme there didn't look like the TLW raptor , and I don't remember Mattel making a tiger like Echo , also , as much as Amber Collection Echo had an Tiger Color Scheme, I don't think that the figures colors are considered canon , so I don't thank they ever retconed echo's design , it's more like Mattel can't get her colors right or that they really love the Tiger Raptor rather than Universal actually retconning her design

I already have the biosyn giga HC figure so I would to purchase a HC prologue giga to match with my giga! I would also to see the Spinosaurus(jp3 or cc, idc) and the stiggy.
