I recently stumbled upon some articles that talked about the border conflicts of Nepal. I knew about only two such conflicts. One in Kalapani-Lipulekh-Limpiyadhura area and the other in Susta but there were so many places that I did not know. Thus, I started researching about these border problems. And after months of research and difficult process of mapping them all, here is every encroached border of Nepal.

We had a piece of land in Sandakpur, Ilam. My family has been living in Kathmandu for years. Last year when my dad went his hometown, he visited Sandakpur as well. He found that more than half of land was encroached. That's the condition. We spoke a lot on this but no one listened.

I am from sarlahi and there is border dispute issue in tribhuvannagar as mentioned in the video but all of them are from Muslims background who came from India to stay in nepal and even the same case in Rauthahat district some backward people from India usually had shelter in nepal which increase unemployment and lots of other disputes in nepal.

We are just against the fact that the indian government get to build roads in our territory. The thing is, this time we don't have support from either China or India, we have both big nations against us on this, so we, a small country like nepal can't do anything to prevent this. As someone from one the border village in Western Nepal, Nepal India border dispute is mostly because of natural and local population causes. Rivers changing their course and size, confusion on the origin of the river and their tributaries, locals from both nepal and India vandalizing border pillars, encroaching no mans land are the main causes of the dispute. Both indian and nepali authorities should take the initiative to solve the border dispute. But sadly, Indian side doesnt care enough and Nepali side only wants to politicize it to gain votes. Edit: The Nepali comment should have been more nuanced and full of disclaimers in this video. It looks like half the commentators missed the point and devolved into racist hateful political comments instead of trying to analyze the real cause of border dispute.

You can look at Bhutan as an example Bhutan's water, military and forgein policy is under India and there monarchy exist till now. I am from Rautahat but my family lives in Simara, Bara. Both these places are near to Nepal India border i.e Gaur border and Birgunj border. If you will go to both these borders u can clearly see that Nepal has left 10 gaj area but India has not left any land for its border...Both these borders are separated by the river ... on Nepal side the border gate start only after 10 gaj area but on India side the border starts right from the other side of river....Birgunj being such a famous border where lakhs of people travel daily but still this topic is not discussed and governmnet has not taken any action....its really shame ...

If you are covering "Every" Encroached Border of Nepal, then have descriptive information from China Border Side too and make a detailed video on it. This video seems to be taken on side for the China by relaxing it's disputes and demolishing it's disputes showing as China disputes aren't that prominent. Everywhere China disputes and issue are relaxed by just saying few things on it and making things not to the purpose. Just don't calm issue on China Border. If you are heating the moment do equally on both side because China are more smarter on capturing the area than India. India border disputes are always due to some reason behind it and not intentionally , either disputes are due to Treaty signed during Britishers time, due to construction of Dam most constructed during British ruled and many due to Misunderstanding and Misinterpretation and lack of Proper Information and Evidences. But China disputes and acquiring area capturing have always self regard profit and acquisition behind it such as capturing Mount Everest for promoting and beneficing country's name. The country are so smart until and unless the country des not sees any profit on it, China have no interest on it . China can be very dangerous to Nepal if China sees any profit on Capturing Nepal or Nepal's area. China does with all other neighboring country where China seems to have interest on likewise capturing all over Tibet. We should always be extremely careful from China side since China does it smartly. Yes we have border disputes on India side due to some reason mostly un-intentionally, unplanned which shall be clarify and elucidate by both the country. At a same time, I as a Nepalese Brahmin Hill people I can genuinely say that if we really want develop & flourish Nepal and even have shelter form any unanticipated threat from any other country and even for our country's development, Nepal should have proper and good relationship with India.

Whenever I travel to India via the Tanakpur barrage border crossing over the Mahakali River, the border is constantly changing, with the Indian Army now occupying Nepal. The first time I entered India from the Mahakali/Tanakpur border (in 2015AD), there was still a Nepalese army on the Nepalese side of the border, which is now under the control of the Indian Army. The border guards are even inside a Nepalese village, whereas they were not even close to a Nepalese village before. This is something that the Indian government does every year while the local and national governments ignore. SAD BUT TRUE DUE TO THIS, NEPAL'S EXISTENCE MAY ONE DAY BE QUESTIONED.

Does India want Nepalese land? India doesn't want disputes with Nepal, in fact, we resolved all disputes with Bangladesh even when we had to lose 27km square of land. It's Nepali politicians who want to keep these issues afloat and alive as they gain votes from politicizing them. If they solve it, they would lose an issue to gain votes. India esp. present govt. respects Nepal as a fellow proud Hindu nation and would always want its progress as all of us Hindus in India do. We want Nepal to be powerful. Indian involvement in Maobadi takeover? Yes it was a miscalculation by the Indian Congress party. You should understand both India and China want Nepal to be pro-India or Pro-China. China had no say before maobadi takeover in Nepal but the Indian congress (a traditionally left party) gave this opportunity to the Chinese by their miscalculation of results and this formed two factions Nepal Congress which are pro-India and Nepal Communists are pro-China. But the present Indian Govt. of BJP always wanted Nepal to be a constitutional monarchy and a Hindu rastra. But Nepal presently unfortunately lacks any Right-wing major party. Why India v/s Nepal and not Nepal v/s China? It's because Nepal interacts much more with India than China because of our similar culture of thousands of years and easy-going borders. You fight mostly with someone you love and that's why India v/s Nepal. Most Nepalese won't even know what the Chinese say about them as they don't know Mandarin or Cantonese but they would know anything and everything any one of 1.3 billion Indians says about them. This creates bondings but also problems. What does Nepal mean for Hindus and Indians? Any Indian or present BJP govt. which is a subsidiary of RSS would always want Nepal to be Independent but also never fall prey to communism which can occupy Nepal in Tibet capture Style or cultural replacement and capture style. Recently, the Chinese language has been taught in many newly opened Nepali schools funded by CCP and with it comes the ideas of Communism and Chinese midland supremacy and the influence of Chinese culture. This cultural conquest is the biggest conquest when you have to dissolve a nation. Because Nepal wasn't ever colonized they don't know this aspect of cultural conquest which happened in most of African and Latin American nations. I know Nepali people are intelligent and don't need all my gyan and advice but I am just telling you as a concerned Indian and more importantly Hindu. Dominating in border area, i went to sandakpur area once and it lies in nepal but indian tries to control those too but why? If you think we are brothers or we are equal treat us equal too! Yes we are poor compare to you but it doesnot mean we will stay still until the end don't you tell momo sellers, guard to Nepalis?
