I don't know man. Where I live, 1 in 4 people have a tesla model Y which is like 60+K easy. People clearly have money. I'm a service plumber and have a 98k loan on a vehicle. You just need decent pay and a decent credit score. It's not out of reach. People settle for less and accept it. I never even finished high school, and I drive a premium awd mach E that's probably more expensive than most cars on this list. Came to this country not speaking the language and didn't have a penny on me.

Unm why would it break down lol. It's more likely for machine parts to break in extreme colds. Only issue with EVs is that it takes longer to charge and batteries depleat faster. They're far more reliable than ICE cars

The more EVs on the road, the more people are going to learn the term 'thermal runaway' and that's not a good thing. This whole EV craze is just that, a craze. Until they get range, charging, and safety concerns under control, these will just be niche models.

Hi Shari, thank you for this video. I hesitate between leasing or buying a CX 70 in line 6 cyl.; giving the fact the engine has to be removed to have access to the timing chain, oil pump, part of turbo system, etc.; also, the reliability of the engine is not known. Can you give me more specifications to help me taking the decision?

Full EV - I say NO ! Acura IMHO is making a mistake. They should have fine tuned and re-introduced their MDX Sport Hybrid, a gas /Electric Hybrid. The 2018-2020 versions used their 3.0 V-6 Engine with added Electric motors. Produced More HP, More Torque and better MPGs than the non Hybrid version - I have a 22 MDX which is a terrific SUV. It would be better if they had produced that Sport Hybrid.

Some of the best information I've seen so far on upcoming new EV and HEV vehicles. But it appears that bigger is better? I love my Kona and would love to get a 2025 Kona IF I could afford it by next year. So far, I'm looking at buying my 2022 Kona at lease end, unless the used car loans are so outrageous, it's actually cheaper to lease a new vehicle. Keep up the great videos! I look forward to the next one.

No the hybrid system in the CX-90 is designed by Mazda because it is a RWD platform. The CX-50 is a FWD platform like Toyota hybrids.

Hello Shari, you've mentioned about Santa Fe 2024 PHEV. I've called the dealer here locally and they said that no PHEV Santa Fe will be for 2024, not even the old model. Just a Hybrid model and they advised to pre-order a Tucson PHEV. Do you have something as reliable news from Hyundai?

I would never buy an EV until manufacturers deal with all the problems they are being faced with; such as EV batteries. Is there a recycling program for dead batteries or are they going to end up in land fill like plastic bags? EV's catching on fire and not being as reliable as advertised.
