I think the desmodus pipes are there to suck up the blood from wherever the desmodus attacks creatures. Also, the sanguine can be crafted in it's inventory like the lasso on the equus, and it gives a flat taming/imprint percentage.

Desmodus taming method is almost like the bloodstalker however you’ll be dropped after each feed, bring 200 blood packs since these bats drink them like crazy, once it’s been tame you’ll be dropped, bring parachutes because desmodus tends to fly around pits and falls in caves. Oh and it’s able to create blood packs and you need 200 BP to make the elixir!

For the speed buff on the andrew, you wanna hold right stick down for a second to get the speed buff, and click it for a millisecond to switch to turret mode if the saddle is on. :) Also the slide boost lets you keep your speed going after a drift, if you try doing the drift before it's recharged, you slow right down.

I don't know if this was on the modded version, but I found a cave with a lot of names inside of it, carved in rocks and with statues, etc, and your name was with a gallimimus statue! Thought that was a really cool find.

The neatest feature of the fjordhawk is this: 1. Set up an outpost with a bed near oil spawn/across map/whatever. Gather resources there, have the hawk with you. 2. Weight cap yourself, then die and respawn at main base. 3. Enjoy your free teleported loot! You do need to bring the hawk back at some point, or die again and have it re-teleport to the outpost. In this way you can cross the map! At least in how it looks to work atm. Very strong in PVE for sure, makes distance farming a breeze and is kinda like having a stryder and dedi! It's like a low-tech dedi storage :D

I’ve been playing this almost all day! I love this map!!! Also I love that people still say “Jonathan” I believe the fjord hawk has some sort of a bonding system but wow I had no idea about the death recovery stuff! I’m going to absolutely love this little dude! I’m also super excited to have my own Fenrir! Edit: I was just messing around as I was playing and I thought about how with the Fjord Hawk, just killing yourself be a good way to get back home. Then I thought would it work with fast travel?

Fun fact! Irl Andrewsarchus has the largest skull of any carnivorous land mammal ever found- making it likely to be the largest carnivorous land mammal ever! So it’s size in Ark is likely not exaggerated. Though unfortunately it is only know from a singular specimen- it’s iconic skull!

Huh... So you can basically load up on stuff until you can't move anymore with the Fjordhawk, pop a respawn candy and the Fjordhawk will instantly teleport all your mats back to you... That sounds really nice. Fly over to a metal spawn on a Ptery, load up to the point that you can't move anymore, cryo the Ptery, pop the respawn candy and boom, you got all of your stuff back at your base lickity split!

The Desmodus also has a night vision. When your dismounted go up to it and hold [triangle Playstation], [Y for Xbox], and [F for PC] to go into the circle menu and itll be in there to turn on night vision.

Two things on Desmodus you missed: You can long press E before mounting (or R while mounted) and select life steal, which is the reason those tubes run down his legs. Whatever you're carrying will be leeched :) At night, once again long pressing E before mounting (remove tek helmet it's buggy) or R while mounted, you can select night vision, which is like thermal vision. Not like the Owl, full on red.

What the Andrewsarchus needs for taming is a combination of Honey and trust taming. You throw the honey down, then while it is distracted you mount up. Then you gotta press either a or d, depending on which way it wants to turn, and tame it up before it bucks you off.

There's a steam mod that does that, but it sucks if you don't have the game on Steam. I agree though, all flyers should get fast dive. It doesn't need to be like the owl or griffin, just fly down faster.

On console, to speed up with the andrewsarchus it's holding down the right stick, also with the slide boost it's just being max speed whilst turning around you, Hope this helped ^^ (i'll be editing this if i find more stuff)

hey syn, the fjordhawk didnt take the implant because it took it just before you died, you see it shows "removed" on the items, which doesnt happen when you die normally, then when it brought back the contents of your inventory it went back for your implant

Hey @Syntac, no clue if legit anyone knows about this, but I found it out. If you get a camera, and press your (reload) key, you switch to an "Andrewsarchus mode", and when you take a picture, that picture will now be in every Andrew you ride. But, if you want some normal painting, and not the games semi crappy camera pictures, you can save a normal canvas painting, then go to your files, and rename said file to `AndrewsarchusSaddle.pnt`. This seems to be the most unique, and special dinosaur addition ever. lol

The Andrewsarchus seems to half the ammo weight if it's in the dino inventory so you can stack more ammo! Also for anyone using the Upgrade station mod i can up the quality of the saddle and that will up the turret damage but none of the items you craft to increase stats work on the damage, only the armor.

Just for everyone who did not know if you go into a Desmodeses behavior settings you can choose it to use night vision during the night. It illuminates other creatures and the map. It's very useful.

The draculae spawns in the swamp cave in which I found them to be most common but they will pick you up and suck your blood and they will start to tame

Only problem with this map, you don’t get every map engram. It has at least one creature from each map. If you transfer a character to this map it’s not a problem. If you want to start fresh good luck finding a saddle for a dlc Dino.
