When i first started playing the new solo battles I thought Serperior's ability would only act as a way to pay energy costs but effects that depend on how much energy is physically attached wouldn't be affected (so you could use celebi's attack with one energy but it'd only flip one coin) as a way to balance broken interactions. Turns out I was insanely wrong

The new exeggcute actually just makes exeggutor ex more “splash-able” in decks. Because its attack can be used for a colorless and attaches a grass energy, that means you can run a 2-2 evo line of eggs without dedicating your energy zone to grass.

My highest damage record for Celebi EX in PvE is 990 All you have to do is get the CPU in a situation where they can’t KO you. Like somehow get them stuck putting their energies to benched Pokemon forever, or switch them into a Pokemon with 20 or less damage and heal it with Butterfree forever

while watching the video I was thinking a Volcarona, Moltres, Ninetails deck would be able to counter the celebi deck, ninetails for knocking out celebi with blaine and volcarona for maybe knocking out superior at early stages or just to keep surperior in check

only problem is if you get screwed by evo rng

Good thinking! I've already filmed the fire analysis vid featuring those pokemon and it should release in 5-7 hours :)

Good heavens! I sure wonder how the TCG Pocket team will go about balancing cards in the future. These cards aren't physicallly printed so it's totally possible to push out traditional balance patches and adjust some stats. Celebi is powerful yes, but from my experience, Dhelmise is just horrible to face against with Serperior since even if I manage to knock out two of them I still haven't won the battle.

ikr! scary combo. Maybe we'll get more power creep next boosters in Janurary :O

What about using mew in the grass deck because it’s move doesn’t need physic energy
@SneakyDragonАй бұрын
That could totally work! It all depends on if you think the mew Ex is better than a different card you would be replacing. If so, then definitely give it a try!

The way i play the new exeggute and exeggutor is this : I use growth spurt once if exeggute was my starting pokemon then retreat and put the desired pokemon (celebi LOL) and evolve it on the bench. Now, when I finish my serperior, I can use the evolved exeggutor on the bench as a backup carry if my main one (celebi) dies, since he now has "4" energies (thanks to serperior). I've played this quite a lot and it's veeeery strong against Mwetwo, Water or Fire decks).
