I'm planning on doing a version 2 of this since this is badly edited and been worked on since last year. Ones I couldn't find are Lake Placid 1932, Garmisch 1936, St. Moritz 1948, Oslo 1952, Squaw Valley 1960, Innsbruck 1964, and Lake Placid 1980.

I do recall President Jimmy Carter opened the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Games, but who opened the Winter Games of Squall Valley in 1960? Who was the President of Brazil prior to Michel Temer in 2016, and what caused it? Aside from those questions, great compilation! The 1960 Winter Olympic Games at Squaw Valley in California were declared open by Vice President Richard Nixon. The 1980 Winter Olympic Games at Lake Placid were not declared open by President Jimmy Carter, but rather by Vice President Walter Mondale.

I really hate the way the speakers build to a crescendo but stupidly put the word "open" as the 3rd word, not the last word. Except the German speakers, sigh. And China? Reagan nearly fixed it. Interestingly, Donald Trump might be the only US president not to be in office during an Olympic Games. Somehow Bill Clinton had Michael Scott energy. Bush Jr brought extra energy but then pinched that candle out.
