Being Thai myself I have mixed feelings about them buying the pageant. On the one hand what a heck of a deal to save MUO from its continual decline in quality since WME/IMG bought it (MUO was in financial problems no denying that.) On the other hopefully it doesn't turn into MGI level of over the top and just because the owner is transgender MUO doesn't just turn into a trans based pageant. Everyone who thinks just because Thailand now owns the pageant that Thailand will now win every time you're missing the business aspect of it all. They still have to be able to keep other countries interested for those all important licensing fees because at the end of the day money trumps all sense of national cohesion.
