@@danamcardle1403 I'm 50% sure its real and 50% sure it was fake but that 600lb bench press happened in the 90's and may have been before fake plates were a thing as far as I remember. But even if fake plates existed and they slapped an extra fake plate on each side the bench still would have been 510lbs which is believable and impressive af.

He may have actually believed what he was saying cuz there is some truth to it but he definitely played it up for the audience too. Again i like tank he was a hell of an entertainer and hes still a legend but hes not what his legacy makes him out to be either. He was a trained fighter who lost more fights than he won but he also put on a hell of a show. Guy was tough as nails but he was also playing a character. He was never an elite fighter

I usually root for the good guys Stephen Thompson, max Holloway, George st pierre etc tank is the only bad guy I cheered for. Ufc set him against the top guys to lose and he usually did. When he beat Hugo Duarte that was cool

Tank wasnt the best fighter but he was early off in the ufc...hes a street brawler...and the whole mma thing didnt catch on till later...the people talking shit about tank would not last 30seconds in the ring at equal age as of now...meaning if you are 30 and talking shit then a 30yo tank would kick your ass and you know it...heck, if you are tanks age and still talking shit then i think he still would still give you hell even after a stroke:)...only people that have been if fights that have won and lost understand...i have lost more than won but i gave them hell and the ones that beat me didnt want to do it fight me again:)...win or loose, you still get hurt...its just that if you loose then make damn sure your opponent knew you where there that day:)

Tank NEVER got starched in the UFC. He did take a few ass whippings but he always dealt a few blows in those. He never laid down for anyone and a lot of times he literally stepped of a bar bench and fought.
